a songfic. This is the result of an idea that just wouldn't leave me alone.

[Music begins. As the guitar plays, the camera fades into an OR. Doctors are
surrounding someone on a bed, with a long-haired man holding the hand of the
woman on the table. We see that he's Soun Tendo. He has tears in his eyes.]

|| Lightning crashes, a new mother cries.
Her placenta falls to the floor. ||

[We see Mrs. Tendo's face as she slowly opens her eyes, a content, happy
smile on her face. A flash of lightning illuminates the night sky.]

|| The Angel opens her eyes.
The confusion sets in.
Before the doctor can even close the door. ||

[We see Soun Tendo kneeling next to Mrs. Tendo's bed. He's crying and
holding her hand, as though it were a life preserver in an ocean. These,
however, are not tears of joy. Another flash of lightning illuminates the
small hospital room.]

|| Lightning Crashes, an old mother dies.
Her intestines fall to the floor. ||

[We see Soun place his hand over her face, and slowly move it downward.]

|| The Angel closes her eyes
The confusion that was hers
Belongs now, to the baby down the hall. ||

[We see a montage of images from Akane's life, from childhood to womanhood.
Her first day at school, times with her sisters, martial arts lessons from
Soun. Next, her first meeting with Ranma, scenes from various adventures,
Her rescue from Kirin, Jusendou, and finally, the REAL wedding.]

Like a rollin thunder, chasing the wind
Forces pullin' from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it.... ||

[Lightning crashes outside the same hospital, some time later. Inside the
OR, doctors surround a woman on a gurney, her feet in stirrups. Her hand is
held by a strong young man with a pigtail.]

|| Lightning crashes, a new mother cries
This moment she's been waiting for ||

[Akane is presented with the new child, who opens her eyes to the world for
the first time.]

||The Angel opens her eyes!
Pale, blue colored eyes
Presents the circle
Puts the glory out to hide, hide

Like a rollin' thunder, chasin' teh wind
