Ranma fights some super-natural entity- well that's 'been done.' But
there are so many ways to run it and how few of this type of story there
is a lot of room for it to be good and new.

Now, is the fact that Ranma powered up a depression blast (Roaring Lion
Bullet / Shi Shi Hokodan) verses his usual confidence attack (Fierce
Tiger Strike / Moku Takabishi) an indication of something that's happen
pre-story that further send this fict into new territory (Ranma broke up
with Akane or Akane is dead) combined with the fights with the entity.

Lots of potential, want to see more.
