Pretty good fic, a nice character study.  :)   Even better since you say
it's your first time at bat.

BUT -- when is this story set?  The only thing that doesn't quite ring true
is Sylia's plan to bring down Genom - from what she tells Lisa in BGC 8,
that isn't the plan at all - she knows they can't possibly do such a thing.
 But if the story is set early enough in the timeline it could still work:
perhaps Sylia began with the idea of bringing down the megacorp, and over
time realized that for various reasons it could not, and should not, be
done. (what she said in Scoop Chase being a reflection of this)

Are you planning on expanding on this?  It seems to me that this would a
fairly decent intro to something larger.
