I'd say the trick is to pick a character that is virtually immortal (a
god, demon or the Anime Battle Angel Alita/Gally). That way you get off
the hook of instant death or any death at all. I'd suppose that the
devil would have some rule against this, though, wouldn't he. I wonder
if I could see the fine print on the agreement?
