Just when you think things have settled down on the FFML...

Normaly I don't get involved in these things but this time I feel I must. Lurker, you've been here on the FFML how long? How many years have you been here, posting, reading, and commenting? I've been here a scant two years and I know you were here many years before I joined. The point is, I'm amazed that you have yet to developed the thick skin needed to write anything. No matter what you're writing, someone's not going to be happy with it. This golden age you speak of might have been when the FFML was first started and everyone knew everyone, but that is no longer the case. There are over 1,000 people at least on this thing. That means your story is going to be taken 1,000 diffrent ways.  If you cannot take that idea, then don't post anything. If you can't take the idea that people want you to write for them, then don't write. 

I've only been here two years, I've posted a bit, gotten and given C&C. Yes, there are times when I wished I had gotten more or better, there was even a time when my fic generated a long discustion on a minor point, but all in all, I have not noticed any slacking on the part of anyone for C&C. It may seem like less, but I think it's because we're geting more posts all the time and a readers time is limited. 

Finally, most of the major spam has been started or continued by you, think about that.
