Miffed?  I would cry with joy if I got as many as 5 replies private or
public from the FFML on a story.  So would a lot of other people, some of
them allegedly big name elitists.

nobody would really take a 14-year old no-name seriously, so I dug myself

One of my prereaders is 12, and just from reading your post, I would never
have guessed you were only 14 just from reading your letter.  And one of
my co-authors (Jeremy Blackman) was only fourteen when he started writing
on the 'net.  Age doesn't get much respect around here as far as I can
tell, but I can't name a time I've seen someone shot in the head simply
for being younger than some of the others.  So please don't feel you can't
contribute due to your age.
