Well, it IS possible- assuming that you can find a pool (no, make it a lake)
large enough to sumberge 300-meter tall Evanglion. I recall that in manga
version, a statue of a six-armed goddess had "drowned" and Rogue was cursed
with that body (and had powers that accompanied it).
