NEWS & ETA FOR STORIES

Well, as you can see, after about 1.5 years of being too busy to post, I
am finally getting back with the program. For those of you that know me,
here's my history recently:
#1. I started writing the fanfic "A Lesson in Love" in early 1996, my
senior year of college, right after the final Ranma 1/2 tankubon came out.
I started writing the story to practice my dialogue skills, and somehow it
turned into the massive piece that it is today O_o...
#2. 1996-1997 - I moved to England for an entire year while going to
graduate school in Early English Archaeology and Medieval Studies ('Dark
Ages' mostly, Bede and all that good stuff). I was there from September
1996 to August 1997, and I was too busy to do much more than a few
chapters on the story. This is about the point where I stopped having time
to talk to anyone. I also started up my store "Aino Online" which took up
all the free time I used to use for writing.
#3. September 1997 - March 12, 1999: I was hired by Intel (yes, the people
who make the Pentium(r) processors) and I did all sorts of web programming
and testing. Intel was, sadly, 2.5 "commute" hours (i.e. it takes 45
minutes on the weekend) from my home. I was getting up at 6:00 am, driving
to Intel, and my day at Intel would end around 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm every
night. Then I had to commute my hour drive home. I would get home after
any errands by about 9:30 pm, eat dinner, and then spend until about 12:30
am every night working on my website, orders, etc. On the weekends? I
slept. Anyone who has been trying to write me about my story or about
myself during this period probably thinks I am a total B*tch because I
never answer personal email because it takes me too long to answer mail
from people who are giving me MONEY as it is ^_^;; And I feel really bad
about this. I save all my comments and criticism, but I don't have much
time to answer it. A cheesy form letter "wow thank you for reading! bye!"
just seemed too stupid and an even cheaper shot than not answering
anything at all. So, if you wrote to me during this period (especially
friends from this list) please forgive me for being a total flake. I
didn't even have time to call/write my friends in the "real world" during
this time (Sorry Kim, Safyr, Panda, Chris W, everyone)
#4. Present day - April 31st: I have taken a new job in Foster City, CA.
It's just a temporary position, and will end at the end of April. However,
I seem to have a lot more free time on my hands. The commute is still bad,
but not like it was. Also, they aren't working me to death like Intel was
^_^; So, I have been trying to post and work on my stuff. If you have
questions and comments (other than, when is the next chapter coming out?)
please write me. ^_^
#5. May 1, 1999: I will be taking a new job at the Livermore Lab. This is
in my hometown. I will have a 10-15 minute commute, and that's only if the
stoplight is out on East Ave. I should have a LOT more free time. So, I
would expect that you will start hearing from me again ^_^ You can harass
me all you want. You can send me "when the hell is the next chapter coming
out you moron" and I will answer.
So, I will be posting several new fanfics which should be ready soon. You
can fully harass me about these dates if I don't meet them:
#1: A Slayers Fairy Tale (ETA: May/June):
A 3-part "fairy" tale about Zelgadis, Amelia, Lina, and Gourry. Cameo
appearences from Naga and Amelia's dad. Romance. Zelgadis' quest to be
human, Lina & Gourry's relationship, Amelia grows up and is being courted
by all the suitors of the land.
#2: The Hero and the Princess (ETA: April):
Gundam Wing story. 2 parts. First part, 2 years after the end of the TV
series, about Heero and Relena and Duo and Hilde. Should be a "straight"
fic, though there are a few 3/4 jokes just because C'MON Quatre and Trowa
have something goin on. Part two: Optional story. Lemon. "straight"
#3: Sayonara (ETA: Early May):
Rurouni Kenshin story. 1 part. Megumi's POV from the day that Kenshin
leaves for Kyoto and the aftermath.
#4: Reunion Parts 2 & 3 (ETA: April):
Marmalade Boy. What did someone say about this fic? "A get rid of Na-chan
story" ? Well, it's basically true. So Miwa & Meiko fans, this will be for
you. I could actually use some input on this if you know a lot about MB.
#5: A Lesson in Love:
Chapter 18 (complete) (ETA: End of NEXT week)
Chapter 19 (complete) (ETA: Second week of April)
Chapter 20 (ETA: Second week of May)
Chapter 21 (ETA: End of May)
Chapter 22 (ETA: Second week of June)
Chapter 23 (ETA: End of June)
Chapter 24 (ETA: September) (I will be in Japan in August)
Chapter 25 (ETA: September)
Just think of it like a comic book ^_^;;
#6: A Love to Last for All Time:
This project is currently on the backburner.
#7: Mirai no Hope:
I am ALWAYS working on this. This is one of those stories that will be
done when it's done... I am writing it for myself ^_^ it's my pet project.
