Take the one-syllable challenge. Most of them were lame, but a couple
of them managed to get some real power out of using nothing but simple

You also didn't keep it to one syllable (the word 'again' is two syllables).
The one-syllable challenge probably takes the cake for challenge 'responses'
which don't fit the challenge.

Nobody's perfect. Hmm. I'll have to change that to "some more".

However, I'd rather have a half-decent story that almost meets a challenge,
than a story which meets the challenge but has nothing else to recommend it.

And now for the spamfic repost du jour, my One Hour fic:

"You know," said Ranma as he turned to Akane, "Sometimes I just ain't got the
vocabulary to express the magnitude of my travails."

So she hit him with a hammer.

Finished in six minutes, 32 seconds. And people wonder why it takes a long
time for me to put stuff out.
