"What Evil Dwells in Mihoshi's"

Chapter 1 - "Innocense Reborn"

*READ THIS FIRST*
Authors Foward: This is the continuation of "Something is Out There"
series. If you didn't read it; here's a synopsis of what you missed.

Mihoshi was possessed by an evil force that has yet to reveal itself
to the rest of the cast. Two new characters were introduced; Meachi
(a young man that shares much in common with Tenchi) and Watura
Rode (Meachi's grandfather who's an old fighting monk) Meachi fell
in love with Aeka from the first time that he saw her. Ryoko saw
this as an opportunity to get Aeka away from Tenchi, so she tried
to helped Meachi win Aeka over. However, Aeka didn't share the
same feelings that he had. The broken hearted young man then became
the first pawn in the possessed Mihoshi's game. She twisted his
mind and heart so that he would try to kill Tenchi. The two young
men fought each other. Meachi's power was revealed as he displayed
a sword that was just as powerful as Tenchi's Light Hawk Wings.
The battle ended with them both dealing fatal blows to each other.
To their surprise, neither was harmed by the attack. With the
fight over, Mihoshi's hold on Meachi was broken. However, he!
couldn't remember anything about her.

It turns out that Meachi and his Grandfather are decendents of Yoshu
and his first wife. That is why Tenchi's sword couldn't harm him.
The cursed sword that Meachi uses, originally belonged to Yoshu.
It houses and is fueld by all of the hate that Yoshu onced had.
In so, it can cause however welds it to become insane with anger
if they are weak of mind and spirit. Though Meachi was controlled
by Mihoshi, in his heart he did not desire to kill Tenchi. So his
blade couldn't harm him either.

That should just about get you to this point now. Enjoy....

Chapter 1 - "Innocence Reborn"

Two days have passed since Tenchi and Meachi had their confrontation.
Meachi's grandfather Watura explained their past. To confirm his
story, Washu insisted on running some test on Meachi. To make sure
that the results were correct she requested that Tenchi come in
and be tested also. All of the Masaki household was inside of
Washu's lab. The sound of machines processing information hummed
inside the vast largeness of the lab. Everyone stood in anticipation
as Washu typed away at her hologram keypad. The computers all came
to stop at once. A printer appeared on the side of Washu. She
tore off the results sheet and began to read.

"So... Hmm... I see!" exclaimed the little mad scientist.

The others were about to burst. Aeka was the one that broke their
silence, as she spoke out to Washu.

"What do you see?"

"The results prove what you said. Meachi is not a true Jurian.
However, he is a part breed, but much different than that of Yosho
and Tenchi. Yosho is 1/2 Jurian and Tenchi is 1/8. Meachi is less
than 1/100 Jurian. Over time the bloodline has been depleted.
However, there is an unusual occurrence in this genetic fingerprint.
He seems to have some dormant Jurian genes. His sword must be
responsible for activating them. I'll have to run some separate test on it to be sure."

Meachi lifted his head from the table and looked in Washu's direction. "Well! What do I do now?"

"Do whatever you want, I'm through with you. It's going to be a
while before I can get to the second set of tests. I'm busy with
something else right now." She then walked over to the two young
men and held out her right hand before them. The tables that they
were on then disappeared, leaving the two to of them to fall down.
Washu then went back to working on the project that she was deep
into before she had been taken away. "Wait, there's one more thing.
You said you don't remember anything before the fight?"

"No. Everything seems fuzzy to me. I can't remember anything."

"Hm... Interesting. I'll have to look into that also."

Everyone began to leave out. When they all had exited, Ryoko teleported
back in. She quietly walked up behind Washu. To her slight surprise, Washu spoke before she could.

"What do you want?"

"I hate it when you do that! Anyway, I felt that you could use
some company. You've been shut in here for a while."

"Ah! This is a surprise. You missed your mommy." Washu turned
around and faced Ryoko. She was staring at her with two big puppy
dog eyes. Then she spoke in a sarcastic voice, "Do you want to
drink international's coffee and have one of those mother-daughter moments?"

Ryoko' s face grimaced, then subsided into an annoyed grin. "Cute!
REAL cute! I was just wondering what you've been so preoccupied
with. I've been getting this unusual feeling that I thought you
might be responsible for. It's like I can sense your not understanding something.

"Well! It is about time that I showed someone. And, you're just
the person that should be should first. Washu stood up from her
hover chair and walked beside Ryoko. She raised her hand and a
doorway appeared beside her blue haired cohort. They entered inside
to another part of the lab. The room was filled with action. There
were many machine working at once. They were lined in a row; parallel
to each side. Down the semi-corridor they made was a light. In
the center of it was globe shaped glass frame. The two ladies walked
toward it. They both felt an unusual mental jolt, which caused
both of them to stop suddenly. Ryoko looked at Washu, whom had
resumed walking at a quicker pace.

"What was that? I had that feeling again, but it was stronger this
time. Washu, what is causing this?"

"Shhh! She just woke up. I don't want you to aggitate her."

"HER?!"

Washu reached the globe and motioned her hands to what was inside
of it. As she did, the globe opened to allow her hands entry. She reached
in and drew out a small bundle. Ryoko teleported beside her and stared in amazement.

"IT'S A BABY!!! Washu, where did this child come from? Who's baby is this?!"

Washu lifted her free hand to the baby, and offered her a finger
for her to play with. The baby reached up and took a hold of her new toy.

"Washu! Answer me!"

The little mad scientist continued to play with child, as Ryoko
was about to burst. "Aren't you the cutest little thing. Say hello to your big sister Mayuka."

Ryoko turned pale as the words made contact with her ear's. "MAYUKA!!!
BIG SISTER!!! What is going on here?!"

"It's simple Ryoko. I've been busy trying to return Mayuka, but
I could not restore her body. I was However, I could recreate it.
Unfortunately, I was never able to decipher Yazuha's DNA. The
only choice I had was to use the DNA of another woman. So I decided to use my own."

"This is really Mayuka?"

"Haven't you been paying me any attention? She is the reason why
you've been feeling something new. Mayuka is linked to me like
you are. And so, are you linked to her. The two of you are sisters
now. I expect everyone to help take care of her. You especially.
Ryoko leaned forward and took a hold of one of Mayuka's small hands.
She smiled as the tiny infant responded to her.

"I'll do my part to protect and teach her," said Ryoko. She then
noticed that she was being a little too nice and jerked her hand
back. But don't expect me to go easy on her. I'm going to be as tough as I can.

"I know! I know! It must have really hurt you there; being kind for more than five seconds."

The two continued to play with Mayuka, till she yawned and fell
back to sleep. They then put her back in the globe incubator and left out of the room.

All the time that they had been in the room, they did not know that
they were being watched by a set of eyes in the shadows of the lab.
The invisible assailant crept out from the darkness and walked
up to the globe. The person leaned forward and grin a sinister smile.
A film of mist formed on the globe as quite words escaped her mouth.

"Ah! You will be a wonderful add-on to my game. I just have to
make a few improvements. Then I can have some fun.

Later that day Watura and Yosho held a conversation to determine
Meachi's future. They both knew that the battle between their grandsons
was not a normal thing. Watura could sense that something was wrong,
but he could not pinpoint it. Yoshu suggested that they wait to see what it may be.

Their discussion had carried on for a while. Watura had explained
Meachi past and the story of his parents. Yosho, sipped some tea
and then rubbed the bottom of his beard.

"So... Does Meachi know what you have told me?"

"No. I have not told him yet. Untill now he knew nothing of the
"katen" or of his birthright. We have been traveling ever since
his parents tradgic incident. Meachi was to young to remember his
parents. I have raised him from an infant. I fear that our constant
moving has robbed him of a childhood."

"Watura, you will have to tell him. He has the right to know."

"Your words are true, I will have to tell him. Now that he possesses
the "katen", the time of his awareness grows ever closer. As of
now, he can no longer run. Over the years I have taught him all
that I can, but It will not be enough to prepare him for what is
to come. Will you finish his training?"

"Yes... I will train him."

"Thank you. Now I must go to my home and rest."

Chapter 2 - "Ghost from Ryoko's Past"

The next day came fast and with it new adventures for the household.
Everyone was busy with his or her daily activities. Tenchi and
Meachi were at school. Aeka and Kiyone were cleaning up the house.
Washu was in her lab working. Yosho and Watura had begun their
daily routine as priest. Sasami went to the field to get some fresh vegetables for dinner.

Ryoko on the other hand was not fast at work. As usual, she was
off to herself. Today she was venturing to the local market. Her
supply of saki had run out. She felt that something as important
as that couldn't remain the same way for too long.

As she was making her way to the market, she noticed that something
was not right. It was a feeling that she remembered but she didn't
know where from. She couldn't place it, so she pre-cautiously
continued on her way. After traveling a little longer, the feeling
grow stronger. She looked around to see what could be causing it.
Nothing seemed to be out of order. As she surveyed the land she
noticed two figures barely in eyeshot. Her curiosity had sparked.
To discretely get a better look, she teleported highly above the
two and stared downward. They turned out to be two females. One
was a small girl; she appeared to be no older than Sasami. The
other looked to be a lady in her early twenties.

There was something about her that seemed very familiar. Ryoko
couldn't place her face anywhere, but the feeling that she knew
her would not leave from the bewildered watcher's eyes. Her mind
was racing as she came to the conclusion that the only way to find
out who she is; was to go up and ask her. Ryoko teleported back
down to the ground. She quietly came up behind the young lady.
With no intent of rudeness intended, she reached out and softly
grabbed the taller girl's shoulder. Both girls stopped symatamiously.

"Hey, hold on. I wanna ask you something."

What Ryoko could not see was the eyes and the forearms of the girl
had quickly changed. The smaller child mysteriously disappeared.
Just as she did , the other girl that Ryoko had a hold of, swung
around and cut off the her hand.

Ryoko screamed in agony. The enraged pirate gripped her blood-drenched
stub, and then looked forward to see the young lady was now in a
complete metallic battle suit. Just above both of her wrist were
blades that extended from what appeared to be metallic forearm protectors.

Ryoko composed herself as her battle suit formed on her body. Every
bit of built up anger could be seen upon her face. She glared at
her attacker and delivered a response, "Do you have any idea how
much that hurts? Don't worry, I'll be more than too happy to show
you!" Ryoko's bleeding stopped and another hand began to form.
While it did, a glowing sphere hovered before her. Just as her
hand became complete she grabbed the sphere, and it changed into an energy sword.

Ryoko's threat had seemed to have no affect on the lady. Instead
she only prepared for her first move. Ryoko charged in at full speed
and attacked. The lady sidestepped and attacked back. She made
to two swings. The first was a vertical slice down, followed by
a horizontal backswing from the second blade. Ryoko rolled away
from the first swing and backflipped over the second. She was even
more infuriated now. The air began to tingle as energy began to
accumilate around her hands. She took aim and fired off several blasts.
The lady dodged each one. On the last one, she rocketed into the
sky and practically evaporated into nothingness. Ryoko's eyes frantically
searched to find where she have gone. Each of her senses went into
overdrive as she tried to pick up anything that would give the location
of her attacker away, but nothing could be heard or seen. An eerie calm swept pass by.

Ryoko heard something move to the right of her. She instinctively
turned and delivered an energy blast. A second or two passed, as
she waited for the smoke to clear. To her amazement, she didn't
hit anything. Her eyes were fixed down the line-of-fire she just
created. She barely noticed it at first, but it looked almost as
if the smoke was moving incorrectly. It appeared like something
was there and not there at the same time. The scenery seemed to be distorted.

Before Ryoko could stop it, the distortion came toward her and materialized
into the lady. Whom then plunged her left arm blade through Ryoko's
torso. The metallic shine of her arm piece was now dulled, due
to the red liquid that gushed upon it. The impacted forced Ryoko
into the wall, which was 10 yards behind her. The attacker's right
blade sunk into Ryoko's flesh just below her collarbone. In so,
pinning her to the wall. The other blade was then raised in preparation
to relieve Ryoko's head from the rest of her body. The instinct
to teleport or push her attacker off ran through her mind. However,
Ryoko didn't try to fight her off, because at that moment she remembered
where she had seen her. Ryoko now remember where this face was
from. The lady then swung with the force of a guillotine.

****

Sasami had just finished picking some radishes. She kneeled down
to hand Ryo-Ohki one of the carrots she had picked earlier. She
smiled as she said, "Here you go Ryo-Ohki." Surprisingly the little
cabbit didn't even look her direction. It was staring forward at
the field. Sasami was puzzled by her small friends unusal behavior.
"What is it? What are you looking at Ryo-Ohki," said the little
princess. She looked down at the cabbit and then toward the direction
that it was facing. There was nothing to be seen. Ryo-Ohki fur
stood on end, as if the little cabbit were about to fight. At that
moment Sasami saw somthing. She couldn't believe it at first.
It appeared as if the air was taking on a human form. In a blink
of an eye, the mass of air materialized into a frighten little girl.
She was curled up in a ball and had tears in her eyes. Sasami,
slowly walked up to her, so that she wouldn't scare her anymore than she already was.

"Hi there. My name is Sasami. Are you alright"

The little girl rubbed her eyes and looked toward Sasami. She then
looked toward Ryo-Ohki. "It going to attack me."

Sasami followed the girls eyes down to the still attacked prone
cabbit. She picked the little furball up and looked back at the
little girl. "Oh, this is just Ryo-Ohki she won't hurt you," said
Sasami. She then looked back at the cabbit and spoke with a little
force in her voice, "Isn't that right?! You better be nice or I
won't give you another carrot again." Ryo-Ohki's expression fell
into a innocent one as she released a surrendering miya. Sasami
walked up to the little girl and handed her Ryo-Ohki.

"Here, it's safe to hold her. So what is your name?"

"My name is Cammy"

"What are you doing out here? Are you all by yourself?"

"My sister told me to run, so I did till I ended up here."

"What about your parents? Where are they?"

"My sister Kamil has taken care of me as long as I can remember."

"Why did she tell you to run, and where is she now?"

"She said that we were being followed by something evil. She told
me it was the thing that I see in my nightmares." I don't know
where she is now. I wish she was here, though."

The little girl looked down at Ryo-Ohki and petted the little cabbit.
She started to smile, but she quickly reverted back into a sad
expression; as tears formed in her shut eyes. With fear in her
voice, she screamed out her sisters name.

****BACK AT THE FIGHT****

Time seemed to be moving in slow motion as the attacker's blade
traveled down torward Ryoko's neck. Still she did not struggle
because her mind was seized by the dark images of her life flashing
before her eyes. Her expression was pale as she stared at the face
that she had seen before. Her thoughts were on the wrong that she
had done to the person that now was repaying her back. This ghost from her past.

There was a whistling sound being made by the blade as it cut through
the air. It was bearing down on it's target, like an arrow to a
bulleye. Just as it made contact with Ryoko's flesh, it and it's
wielder had vanished. Now free from the pressure that held her
up against the wall, Ryoko feebly fell to her knees. She then laid
on the ground as she muttered something out.

"It wasn't my fault.........."

****Back at the vegatable garden****

Sasami walked over to Cammy, in hopes to ease her. She stopped
a few feet away from her, because something was begining to materalize
behind Cammy's back. Sasami watched as a tall woman formed from
thin air. She walked up to Cammy and placed her hand on the little girls shoulder.

"Kamil! I'm so glad your back. What happen to the monster?"

"That's your sister?"

"Uh huh. Hey Kamil this is Sasami, she's my new friend. And this cute bunny thing is Ryo-Ohki"

Cammy presented the gray-haired cabbit to her big sister. As soon
as the two made eye contact, Ryo-Ohki jerked out of Cammy's hands
and ran off. Sasami stepped forward after her. "Ryo-Ohki! Where
are you going? Wait up," yelled Sasami. She was about to go after
her little friend, but Kamil stopped her. The young lady placed
her hand on top of Sasami's head. There was an ackward quiet as
the two stared into each others eyes. Sasami started to see here
life flash before her eyes. It was like her memories where being
extracted and viewed. After a few seconds passed Kamil began to
smile. She had looked into Sasami soul and found it to be kind.

Sasami slowly pulled back. She felt kinda funny. Her mind
had just been veiwed like a tape in a VCR. In a confused mannar, Sasami looked over to Cammy.

"What was that?"

"I don't know. I'll ask her."

Cammy looked at Kamil. The two stared at each other for a while,
then Cammy nodded her head and looked back at Sasami.

"Kamil was checking to make sure that you were a good person. She
says she can trust you, and that she want's to go to your home to speak to Yoshu."

"You can talk to your sister, without speaking?"

"Yeah, I don't know how I do it, but I just can. Will you take us to see this Yoshu?"

"Yes. But before we go there, let me take you to my house. I have
a friend named Washu that I think would like to met you two."

"Okay, can I get something to eat too?

"Sure."

Sasami turned toward the house and lead the two girls to her home.
In her mind she was wondering if Washu could make some since of this.
