Chapter 14

	Makoto drifted through the dimensioanl barrier.  He knew that he would be 
soon see Ifurita again.  He thought of all the things he wanted to show her 
and then bring her back to meet her sister.

	*I'm coming Ifurita,* Makoto thought as a warm smile crossed his face

	Makoto felt the swirl of energy fade and slowly he saw the outside of his 
school fade into being.  The staff had brought him right to Ifurita.  He saw 
her running towards him with joy and love in her eyes.  She reached out with 
a hand which Makoto grabbed.  Ifurita ran up to him and put her head on his 
chest, hoping he wasn't a dream.

	"Makoto.....," Ifurita said tearfully, "I thought that I would never see 
you again.  Please don't be a dream."

	"I'm no dream Ifurita," Makoto said, "I'm here for you.  You're weak please 
turn around.  I don't want to lose you either."

	Ifurita complied, even though she wanted to hold on to Makoto.  Once she 
had turned around, Makoto inserted Ifurita's key into her and wound her back 
up.  Ifurita felt her spring being wound back up and let the link form 
between her and Makoto.  Even though, her obedience circuit was long since 
destroyed, she could still feel the person who had last wound her up.  
Makoto stopped and removed the staff.  Ifurita turned and ran back into 
Makoto's arms, where she recieved a big hug from her love.

	"Ifurita I'd like to show you around my world for a little bit, before we 
head back to El Hazard," Makot said

	"I'd like that," the aincent Demon-god said and then asked, "Back to El 
Hazard?"

	"There is someone you will want to meet back there.  We have some time. Can 
you put your staff into some sort of sub-space pocket?"

	Nodding, Ifurita caused her staff to vanish.  After that was done, Makoto 
and Ifurita went to his house.  Makot found some clothes that would fit the 
Demon-god as well as a jacket.  The two lovers walked around the parks and 
beaches of the prefecture they were in.  They finally stopped and sat 
underneath a tree to watch the ocean where the sun was setting.  After the 
sun disappeared beyond the horizion, Makoto broke the silence.

	"Ifurita, I think it is time for us to head back to El Hazard," Makoto 
said, "I think your sister would want to meet you now."

	Ifurita's head snapped up when that was said, "Sister?  The only sister I 
had vanished shortly after I was made.   I never saw her in the Holy Wars.  
I could only assume she was never activated."

	"Oh she was activated all right.  She was sent to another dimension, where 
she acted as a protector, not a destroyer.  Her current master is trying to 
find a way to free her."

	Ifurita closed her eyes as teardrops fell from them.  She wondered what her 
sister was like and how her current master was treating her.

	"My sister.....," Ifurita mumbled, "After all these millenia, you've 
appeared.  I..I want to know you and maybe I can have a family outside of 
Makoto as well."

	"Ifurita?  Are you okay?'

	"I'm fine dear Makoto.  Let's go see my sister.  I never even knew her 
name."

	"Her name is Setsuna Meiou.  Setsuna can also tell you about your mother, 
far better than I can."

	Ifurita said nothing as she summoned her staff from subspace.  Makoto stood 
to her left as his arm reached arond her and gripped her right shoulder.  
Ifurtia cuased a swirl of light to engulf the both of them as they went back 
to El- Hazard.  The two of them faded out of Makoto's Earth and back into El 
Hazard.  Ifurita's portal opened up back on El Hazard  two minutes after 
Makoto had left.  Ifurita's first sight upon her return to El Hazard was of 
a green haired woman that had her features.  Her eyes widened as she saw her 
long lost sister after all this time.  Ifurita collapsed to her knees and 
started crying.  She saw her sister, Makoto, and a girl with blond hair done 
up in pony tails come towards her, all with concern in thier
eyes.

	"Are you okay sister?" asked Setsuna

	Ifurita could only nod

	"Setsuna, other than her eye and hair color, she looks like you," Usagi 
said startled.

	"We were based off of Selene's appearnce after all, Usagi," Setsuna 
replied, "Right now, I'm more concerend with my sisters crying."

	"Sorry, Setsuna.  It just caught me off guard that's all," Usagi said and 
then directed her words to Ifurita, "Take it easy.  You're among friends and 
family."

	Still crying, Ifurita said, "I don't know why I'm crying."

	Usagi said, "It's natrual.  Your crying becuase you're happy and sad at the 
same time.  It's part of being human.  Even though you have a machine's 
body, you have a human soul just like Makoto, myself, or Setsuna."

	Setsuna spoke up, "Ifurita, I think I had better tell you about myself and 
my past.  It shouldn't take long.  Usagi while I'm communicating with my 
sister could you heal her of the damages that time did to her, please."

	Usagi nodded, "Sure."

	Setsuna kneeled in fron of her sister and put her a finger to
Ifurita's forehead.  Both Demon-god's closed their eyes as Setsuna uploaded 
memories and data into Ifurita's memory modules.  Ifurita returned the 
compliment as she sent back her memories from the Holy Wars.  While the data 
transfer was going on, Sailor Moon brought out the Eternal Tier and charged 
its healing power up.  She direcetd the energy at Ifurita, which as soon as 
it touched her, restored all the won out parts and repaired the damages that 
time had done to her.  The obedience circuit was excluded from the healing 
process due to the fact that it was totally incenerated by Makoto's powers.

	Once the transfer was complete, the two sisters opened their eyes and 
looked at each other.

	"So, everything I went through was neccesarry to prevent an even worse evil 
from happening?"  Ifurita asked.

	Setsuna nodded saddly, "Yes.  Don't blame our mother, she only did this 
because of her powers.  What we went through and what she had to endure were 
for the greater good."

	Ifurita looked down, thinking about her mother, and said, "It's not over."

	Before Setsuna had a chance to reply, she felt and heard Usgai scream.  The 
two androids and Makoto quickly turned and saw a vortex of darkness surround 
Sailor Moon and drift into her.

	#You cannot resist me.  YOU shall be my new champion.#

	*Nononononono*

	#I'm invading your thoughts.  There is no one you can trust, no one at 
all.#

	*I can trust my friends.  They've always been their for me*

	#Have they now?  You can't trust them because you became royalty and they 
can do things you can't#

	*no*

	#It's true and you know it.  You're mine and there is no one you can trust 
enough to break you free.#

	The trio watched as Usagi's hair and skin slowly became grey and her eyes 
became red.  The voice that emmenated from Sailor Moon was oddly triple 
toned.

	"At last I have a champion worthy of my powers and soon the destruction 
will begin."

	"Leave her at once," Setsuna demanded, "Who are you that you can take over 
my friend like that ?"

	"I am the incarnation of Despair.  All the opponents that your patheteic 
Sailor Scouts have fought were my emmisaries.  I intend to use this vessel 
to wipe all the emotions but mine from existance.  There is no reason for 
happiness or hatred.  Only despair is the true emotion, and soon you shall 
be destroyed," the possesed Sailor Moon said with a dry chuckle.

			Chapter 15

	Sailor Jupiter and Shayla Shayla were running through the forest, when they 
noticed tht three people that they left behind come out of the ruins.  
During the run, Shayla had passed the staff over to Sailor Jupiter.  Jupiter 
yelled at the three coming out of the ruins.

	"We've got the staff and now let's get out of here!  We'll probably have a 
bunch of bugs heading this way!"  Makoto yelled

	Nanami felt a bit exasperated, while carrying the projector.  She was not 
in as good as shape as the rest of the party.  Mr. Fujisawa saw Nanami's 
face and decided to give her a bit of a break.  He took the projecto and 
handed it to Miz, while he slung Nanami over his shoulder like a sack of 
potatoes.  Miz and Mr. Fujisawa quickly caught up to the two girls and 
joined the run.

	"Sensei," Nanami said, "Traveling like this is not confortable."

	"Sorry, Nanami, but we have to get that staff back to Sailor Moon and 
Sailor Pluto as fast as possible.  I would rather stomp some more bugs, but 
it's too risky with the staff present."

	"Save the chitchat.  Let's just get this overgrown stick back to who it 
belongs and go swat some bugs," Shayla said

	Sailor Jupiter suddenly stopped and rapped her fist against her head.  The 
others stopped and looked at her.

	"I can get the staff back to Usagi and Setsuna without worrying about being 
chased by bugs.  I'll also take Nanami with me so that she won't be in any 
danger."

	"What are you talking about?" Nanami asked as she was palced on the ground 
by Mr. Fujisawa.

	"I can fly.  I forgot about it momentarily, but I can get the staff back 
via flight as well as getting you out of danger."

	Shayla got a wicked grin on her face, "I see.  You take Nanami and the 
staff why we have some fun with the bugs and laughing boy."

	Jupiter just nodded.

	Nanami retreived the record module from Miz and allowed Makoto Kino to pick 
her up.  Sailor Jupiter used her Senshi abilites to lift into the air.  
Judging which way to go, the green clad Senshi  gracefully flew towards the 
palace of Roshtaria.   The trio that were left behind licked their lips in 
anticipation of teaching Jinnai a few more lessons of why it isn't a good 
idea to mess with Roshtaria.  Jinnai and a small army of Bugrom came 
charging up.  When Jinnai saw the two priestesses and Mr. Fujisawa waiting 
for him, he called a stop to the charge.

	"Where is my staff?" Jinnai demanded

	"Yours?"  Shayla snorted, "Sailor Jupiter is now _flying_ it back to the 
person who it really belongs to, you twit."

	"You'll pay for that.  Sailor Pluto is mine, you hear," Jinnai
responded, "SOLDIERS, ATTACK!!"

	The Bugrom started forwards to teach these upstart humans a lesson.  A 
sudden quake and darkening of the sky called a halt to the impending combat, 
before it even began.  Everyone looked in the direction of the Eye of God 
and saw massive swirling clouds of grey and brown energy.  A wave of despair 
swept through the area and caused them all to reel for a few seconds.

	Looks like something's going on that needs are more immediate
attention," Shayla muttered, "Pity.  I was so looking forward to roasting 
that twit."

	Jinnai said under his breath, "Another threat to my world?  I can deal with 
these upstarts later.  First, I have to save my world."

	As the temporaryy truce took hoold, the entire group headed towards the 
swirling energy.  All of them hoping that whatever this was, it would not 
destroy El Hazard.  Jinnai ordered his bugs out loud to carry the three 
humans, so they wouldn't be tired out by the time they reached the Eye.  
Shayla, Miz, and Mr. Fujisawa accepted the rides with a bit of reluctance, 
but knew it was the best thing to do.  The combined group said nothing as 
they raced to fight a new disaster.

	Back on the Forbidden Island, the remaining Phantom Tribe members were 
holding a meeting.  A large male spoke to the assmbled group.

	"Our god has awoken at last.  Soon, this pathetic world and all its 
inhabitants will be destroyed as we go back to our old ways of terrorizing 
other univereses and crushing hope anywhere it pops up."

	A cheer went up from the gathered Phantom Tribe members.

	"We'll also deal with those visitors to this island personally.  I don't 
what they wanted with that old piece of technology, but they won't get a 
chance to use it."

	The shadowy humanoids went to their vehicles and left the island to rejoin 
their god in spreading despair and hopelessness throught the dimensions.

			Chapter 16

	The ice boat that Mercury made to carry the stasis device was easily eating 
up the distnace due to the thrust of the hoverboat attached to the top of 
the ship.  Mercury and Uranus paid no heed to the cold air emmenating from 
the ship.  Afura Mann was shivering from the low tempatures.  Every so 
often, Ami would use her freezing bubble attack to keep the boat from 
melting.  The wind priestess felt a bit envious of the two Senshi, since 
they could ignore the cold, despite wearing such skimpy costumes.

	"How is it possible for you to stand the cold so easily?"  Afura asked with 
teeth chattering.

	Ami looked at Afura and then looked away and said, "It's part of the 
transformation process."

	Afura waited to see if Ami would say any more, but was dissapointed.

	Ami had noticed something in the distance.  Tapping her earring, she called 
her visor up.  Sailor Mecury used the visor to scan the far horizion.  The 
readings she recieved was that a large concentartion of evil energy was 
gathering and was trying to corrupt a  silver millenium energy source.

	"Sailor Moon," Ami whispered fearfully.

	"What's wrong, Ami?"  asked Sailor Uranus.

	"Usagi...it looks like Usagi might be getting possesed by a n evil force."

	Haruka looked at her blue clad teammate in shock, "That's immposible.  She 
has been able to withstand so much, that I can't buy her being possesed."

	Ami stared at the floor of the ship, while whispering, "Usagi has been 
feeling the pressure of being Queen for so long.  There are times when I've 
seen her extremly sad.  She wants to be able to have fun with her friends 
and family without having to worry about the world.   Its been getting 
worse.  This little bit with Sailor Pluto might have caused a big enough 
breach in her emotional defenses to allow something to get a firm foothold 
on her mind."

	Afura, curious, asked, "Why would your queen be depressed?  She was raised 
to rule, right?"

	Ami answered sadly, "No, she wasn't.  She was raised as an ordinary girl 
and found out later that she was the future queen of Crystal Tokyo.  Her 
depression comes from the fact that she just can't walk around the city 
anymore, unescorted."

	Haruka said, "I think we'll shelve this discussion for now.  Right now, we 
have to go rescue Sailor Moon.  Afura, you have powers over the wind.  Can 
you ad some speed to our vessel?"

	"I'll try."

	Afura activated her talisman and used her control over wind to produce a 
breeze strong enough to push the ice ship along.  Ami pushed the Roshtarian 
air ship to its maximum potential as well.  All three girls worried about 
what was going on with Sailor Moon.

	Setsuna looked up at her possessed friend and wondered how she was going to 
free her.

	"Usagi, I know you can hear me.  Please, try and fight off the
effects."


	 "Don't waist your time you metal homonculous.  She can't free
herself.  Her unhappiness of being queen all the time gave me the chance I 
needed to break her."

	*No,* Setsuna thought, *It can't end like this.*

	Out of the corner of her eye,  Setsuna saw Sailor Jupiter fly in with her 
staff.  Ifurita spared a glance at her sister before she launced an attack 
at Sailor Moon.  A beam of blue-white light lanced out from the end of 
Ifurita's staff.  The attack was the same one that Ifurita used to destroy 
cities.

	*I'm sorry sister, but I can't allow this being to exist,* Ifurita thought.

	The bolt of energy struck the evil infused Sailor Senshi and exploded.  As 
the blast effects faded, Sailor Moon was revealed to be unharmed.  Sailor 
Jupiter tossed the staff to Setsuna, who caught it, and launced a Supreme 
Thuder at Sailor Moon as a distraction.

	Setsuna transformed into her Senshi guise and tried to figure out what to 
do.  She couldn't attack Sailor Moon, becuase her obedience circuit would 
not allow it.  She needed something that would help her.  Her eyes fell upon 
a silver butterfly and realised something.

	*A symbol of hope.  Maybe there might be something I can do,* Setsuna 
thought to herself, and then cried into the recesess of her mind, *MOTHER, 
HELP ME!!*


		Setsuna felt a familiar feeling sweep over her,
and thought to herself, *Another file? I wonder what now.*

	Setsuna's mind went back into the virtual encounter world inside her. In 
it, she saw the familiar representation of Selene waiting for her. Selene 
started  speaking to her.

	"I see you made it Setsuna. This file is the last one. My foresight ends 
here," Selene said, " She needs you, you know?  This is why you were built 
and the reason the obedience circuit is still active."

	While Selene's eyes were scanning the ground, Setsuna asked, "You knew this 
would happen? Why did you prevent me from gaining my freedom? Do you know 
how upset that made Usagi?"

	"Yes, I knew it would happen and the sorrow it would cause your friend," 
Selene said.  "Your creation was to free her from Despair."

	"How?"

	"Search your soul Setsuna. You will find the answer.  Good-bye," Selene 
said as flash of light sent Setsuna's mind back to reality.

	Setsuna looked back up at  Usagi and said, "Don't worry Usagi-chan.  I 
won't fail you," and under her breath she added, "This is the real reason I 
was built."

	Sailor Pluto summoned as much of her remaining energy as possible and 
concetrated into her staff.

	A whisper came from Sailor Pluto, "Dead scream."

	On uttering the words, Setsuna sent a ball of purple energy whizzing past 
Usagi's head.

	Trapped inside her mind, Usagi wailed, *No!!!! Setsuna, you'll die!!!*

	The posessed Usagi, looked at Sailor Pluto and said, "Is that your best?  
You missed, delibrately.  Heh; I won't even need to worry about what you can 
do."

	Sailor Pluto looked at Sailor Moon and said, "Good-bye, Usagi.  I've loved 
you like a daughter."

	Setsuna collapsed, her staff  skittering a few feet away from her.
