Those who hunt Ataru 3: Shifting of realities...
Opening theme: Brave Souls {Give a reason/english version} From Slayers
Next Sound bible 3.
Carrot Glace stood and glared at Dan coldly. "You! You must be an evil
sorcerer!"
Dan pointed at himself in confusion and glanced around. "Me?"
"Torturing these demure young maidens for your own greedy purposes!"
cried the boy in dramatically as he ran over to grab Doug and Bill.
"Hey! Stop trying to save my breast you jerk!" cried Doug as he smacked
the pervert with a hard left hook. Carrot was laid out on the ground.
"I think you knocked him out." commented Ataru.
"Great, those other sorcerer hunters won't be far behind, we'd better
get going." said Dan as he took the amulet out of his shirt and raised it
into the air to slash a new doorway. It seemed to snap in half in his
hands as a thin wire shot from the shadows breaking it in two.
"Nooo!" cried Doug as he grabbed the broken peice off the ground.
"Using the forbidden magic to transport your victims to your castle?"
said a sultery voice as Chocolate emerged with Tira, Marron, and Gateau.
"I don't have a castle you jerks! These aren't my victims they are my
friends!" screamed Dan as he turned to see that his companions were
pretending to be mindless zombies. "That's not funny! I could be killed
you assholes!"
"Relax Dan we were just kidding right Ataru?" said Doug as he relaxed.
"Brains...brains..." muttered Bill as he continued acting.
"Who are these idiots?" asked Chocolate as she stood next to her sister.
Tira didn't look like she cared at the moment.
"I just want to know how people this stupid got ahold of forbiden
magic." muttered Gateau as he leaned against a tree.
"Darling! Are you alright?" cried Chocolate as she rushed to Carrot's
side.
Ataru shrunk back and hid behind Dan at the familiarity of the
situation; he shivered for a moment and glanced at Carrot with a sort of
pittying stare. "Poor guy." he muttered. "I thought I had it bad with
just Lum, he's got two of em'."
"You aren't hurt are you Carrot?" asked Tira as she hovered over the
pair protectively.
"He shouldn't go groping strange women." muttered Doug sourly as she
glared at the still sleeping Carrot.
"Relax man, it's not like he kissed you." said Bill as she kneeled next
to the fallen sorcerer hunter.
Marron stood and glared at Dan with a scowl. "You have hurt my
brother..." he started.
"Oh, no you don't! I didn't have anything to do with it! This is all her
fault!" cried Dan defensively as he pointed at Doug.
"What? It doesn't matter, you will allow me to seal up your magic
forever." retorted Marron.
"And how the hell are we supposed to get home if I let you do that?"
asked Dan angrily.
"You walk like these poor people have to do, I won't let you kidnap any
more..." started Maron only to be interupted again.
"Wait a minute! I didn't kidnap anyone; we've only been in this
dimension for about five minutes! I think your looking for someone else."
said Dan as he crossed his arms and glared at the hunters.
"Dimension?" asked Gateau as he stood up in surprise. "Watch out Marron,
these guys are stronger than they look!"
"Look I'm not gonna fight with you! Just sit down and shut up and we'll
exsplain everything!" cried Doug as she turned to face the arguing group
of men.
"Men!" growled Chocolate and Tira in unison.
"Hey! I'll have you know I am a man!" cried Doug defensively.
"Yea! Me too!" agreed Bill trying to look sickeningly cute and
succeeding.
"So your companions are cursed and your looking for the dimension with
the pools that can cure them?" said Gateau with a confused look on his
face after some obviously unreliable exsplinations had been made.
"That's right, we just keep getting lost and now our amulet is broke
thanks to leather girl over there." snorted Doug.
Chocolate blushed and hung her head. "Sorry." she muttered.
"Well, that doesn't change the fact that we have a sorcerer who can
travel dimensions on the loose. We have to find him." said Marron.
"The amulet might still work, we aren't sure yet!" said Doug with a
hopeful glint in her eyes.
"Say, where is Dan?" said Bill as he glanced around to find his friend
gone.
"Ataru's gone too. You know what that means." muttered Doug."Is there a
town near here?"
"Yes, just outside the woods about a mile away...why?" asked Marron in
confusion.
Doug sighed and hung his head. "Babe-dar strikes again."
"Darling?" said Chocolate as she began to scan the area. "Darling?!"
"He's probably gone girl chasing in that town again." muttered Tira with
a small growl.
"If that's true then that's definitely where our two friends went as
well." sighed Doug.
"Ah, the sights and sounds of the city! Hey beautiful!" cried Ataru as
he waltzed into the streets and was repeatedly smacked with Carrot
following his lead almost exactly.
Dan smirked as a group of girls giggled around him. "It seems you boys
don't understand the finer points of socializing with the fairer sex."
"Hey, what's he got that I don't?" said Carrot with a frown as he
stalked over to the girls that hung around Dan.
"Charm." said one of them.
"A body," chimed in another.
"Big feet." said yet another girl with a listful stare.
"Feet? What the heck does that have to do with anything?" wondered Ataru
as he latched on to one of the girls. She screamed and promptly pounded
him into the ground.
Dan snorted and sat down at a cafe' that offered a good view of the
moon. You boy's have to lay off a little, your never gonna talk to anyone
if you run them into the ground and scare them half to death first.
Carrot looked thoughtful for a moment and took a seat directly across
from him. "But that's half the fun." he offered with a knowing smile.
"If you think that's fun just wait until you get to the other half."
whispered Dan as they watched Ataru get rejected by every girl present.
"Well, this is interesting." muttered Carrot as he glanced around.
"What's up?" asked Dan looking serious.
"It's getting late and all these people are still around. It's not real
late but still..." said Carrot. "Is there a festival or something going
on? I don't see any decorations."
"It's a ceremony, the sorcerer Vile says we have to stay out and wait
for him to pick a sacrifice, it happens once a year." said one of the
girls with a shakey voice.
"He's not so bad considering. He pretty much leaves us alone other than
this one sacrifice a year." said one of the other women with an
uncomfortable sigh.
"You don't seem all that nervous, not until now anyway." said Dan with a
small frown.
"Well, there are so many girls here." said one of the other girls. "What
are the chanses I'll be picked."
"Pretty good, I'm betting it'll be one of you five." said Dan with a
frown as he glared at Carrot.
"That monster, how dare he sacrifice a pretty girl that way!" snarled
the boy as he stood and shook his fist.
"Don't talk that way he might hear you!" whispered one of the girls in
shock.
"I wouldn't worry girl, he does this sort of thing all the time. Isn't
that right Vile?" said Dan as he turned to face a shadow that loomed
unoticed behind them.
"How would I know? I wasn't exspecting to find another sorcerer here
tonight." said the tall figure that emerged from the darkness of a nearby
alley. He was dressed in a dark purple suit with a black frilly
undershirt. His long white hair blew dramatically in the wind uncovering
the small triangle embedded in his forehead.
"Something tells me your plan will finally be complete tonight, won't
it?" said Dan as he stood in front of the cowering girls with Carrot at
his side.
"How on earth did you know that, Mr.?" said Vile with a cruel smile as
he walked forward allowing his cape to billow slightly making him look
even more menacing.
"Dan, and I'm no sorcerer." snorted the boy as he held his cane tightly
in his grip. Unoticed by him the amulet around his neck began to glow
brightly as it's power flaired up. The blue light caused the girls to
back away in fear.
Vile's eyes narrowed as he stalked forward and assessed the situation.
Carrot was watching them both cautiously and drew his sword positioning
himself between the women and the battle. Ataru just continued to hang
off the repulsed women not noticing or caring about the confrontation.
A heavy and jeweled golden necklace that hung around the sorcerer's neck
began to glow with a green flame in reaction to Dan's amulet and the
sorcerer growled as he realized that the spell on Dan's amulet was
stronger than his own. "It seems you have disabled my magic feind. I will
not forgive you! Do you realize how long it took me to make a
teleportation amulet?!" roared Vile in anger.
"You won't live long enough to regret it." snarled Dan as he stepped
forward with his cane held offensively.
"What are you doing?" asked Carrot angrily.
"I can't forgive him for doing such things to lovely young maidens, he
cannot survive." answered Dan coldly.
The girls behind Carrot swooned as they watched him as if he were a pop
star or something. "Dan-samma!" gasped one of them.
"Oh would you quit it?!" snorted the sorcerer hunter.
"Planing to bludgeon me to death? That's very uncivilised." said Vile as
he stalked forward and drew a massive blade from his side.
Dan smirked and popped the small ring on the cane's stalk. It flipped
open and he slid a two foot long blade from the hilt. The top portion of
the walking stick left a handle of about a foot long.
"Ha! Little more than a sewing needle compaired to mine! I'll break it
in half with a single stroke!" snarled the sorcerer as he charged and
slashed at Dan.
The boy backflipped over the strike letting the tails of his coat billow
out covering his body as he landed. His leg struck out and pushed at the
side of his opponent's blade as the sorcerer thrust at him. Dan slashed
upwards and pointed the blade at the man's neck threateningly. "A true
master never allows his blade to touch his opponent's weapon fool."
The enraged Vile slashed upwards and cut at empty air as Dan skillfully
dodged and weaved around his strikes with ease. The boy smirked as the
blade came dangerously close to his neck and missed again. He struck out
with a quick slash that cut the sorcerer's cheek in a long slash that
went from his eye to his jaw. Vile screamed with rage as he lifted his
hand causing a red ball of energy to form. Dan frowned and jumped up to
avoid the blast as it rocketted forward; but the sorcerer had anticipated
this and the energy beam followed him and slammed into his blade sending
him even higher. The metal glowed brightly for a moment before returning
to normal.
"What? That's impossible!" stammered Vile as he regained his feet and
clutched his still bleeding face.
"My sword is special you see, it absorbs energy attacks so that I can
use them against you." said Dan as he pointed the blade at his opponent.
A thin blue beam blasted out and shot through the sorcerer's shoulder
leaving his left arm hanging useless at his side.
"Don't worry ladies! I'll protect yo..." started Carrot as he turned to
face the girls only to find they had run off already. Ataru lay trampled
on the ground with slap marks and footprints all over his body. "I stood
here all this time for nothing?! Aw man!" grummbled Carrot.
Vile saw a shining blue stone on the ground before him and he clutched
it. The cord that was attatched to it had been cut durring the battle and
Dan had not yet noticed it was missing. The boy stared down at his chest
and gasped as the evil sorcerer slashed at the air creating a doorway for
him to escape. The energy from the now broken amulet flew out wildly and
the gateway created formed a vacume around it sucking all those within
ten yard into the void instantly. Ataru, Carrot, and Dan where all pulled
into it immediately following the sorcerer.
The rest of the group appeared just in time to see the void suck up
their companions. "Oh, no! Darling!" cried Chocolate as she rushed
forward to help.
"Brother! cried Marron as he led the rest of the group forward.
An etherial image appeared before them causing them to stop. "Big
Momma!" cried Tira in shock.
"Sorcerer hunters stop! There is nothing you can do! He has been sucked
into limbo!" warned the towering figure.
"But Big Momma!" cried Tira in desperation.
"No! I cannot risk losing all of you to the void. You must let it go, I
am sorry." said the Image softly.
"Maybe they can't do anything but I sure intend to try!" cried Doug as
she pulled out her own piece of the stone and slashed at the air. Luckily
this porthole was much more stable and she and Bill vanished into the
light. Marron restrained Chocolate and watched the porthole vanish.
"Do not worry, Carrot is not dead. He may even return to us one day, but
for now I need you here; you cannot understand how important you are to
this world. Especially now that our numbers are weakened." comforted the
Woman as she frowned and watched Tira and Chocolate fall to their knees
in tears.
"Be careful brother." said Marron softly as he gazed at the spot that
his brother disapeared into.
Dan, Ataru, and Carrot stood in limbo and glanced around to see that the
sorcerer had vanished. "Damn! Where the hell did he go?" cried Carrot as
he whirled around. Another porthole opened and Bill and Doug fell into
Limbo clumsily.
"It's about time you guys got here." muttered Dan as he replaced his
blade; he whirled the cane around in his fingers skillfully before he
examined the new recruit. "I guess your stuck with us until we figure out
how to get you back."
"What's wrong with now? I've still got a piece of the stone right here."
said Doug as she held out the lower half of the amulet.
"Great!" said Dan as he took it and held it up to slash the porthole
open.
"Wait!" cried a great booming voice. The group turned around and Carrot
smiled as he turned to face the familiar voice.
"Big Momma!" cried everyone but Ataru. He glanced around in confusion
and simply stared at the beautiful, if older, woman who stood before
them.
"How do you guy's know her?" asked Carrot in confusion.
"Worry about that later, right now I have a task for you my young
sorcerer hunter." said the woman as she waved her hand revealing a
sphere. "You must hunt down Vile and destroy him."
"What? Why me?" asked Carrot in confusion.
"Because you are already here. I cannot risk losing all of your
companions in this void. I am sorry Carrot, but in the endless dimensions
he could become more powerful than even I can handle. He must be
destroyed, if he becomes strong enough he will return here for revenge."
said the woman solomly.
"But how could anyone get so strong?" asked Carrot in confusion. "I mean
we can just blast him when he get's back right."
"There are worlds with creatures strong enough to destroy an entire
planet with a single blast." said Doug coolly. "It may not be difficult
for him to gain that kind of power."
Big momma screeched as she realized that Ataru had somehow climbed up to
her chest and was plastered between them drooling happily. Her massive
hand came down and smacked him off as she jumped from pure shock. He
floated to the ground and lay unconcious lying quietly.
"How are we supposed to find him?" asked Bill.
"Your piece of amulet will glow brightly when pointed in the right
direction." answered the woman as she started to fade.
"Hey! What about Carrots special power! How the hell are we supposed to
control that thing?!" called Dan at the fading figure.
A small pack of wards fell to the ground as the being finally vanished.
"Oh, that helps." muttered Dan as he grabbed them. Bill promply snatched
them away with a leather whip and smiled at Carrot with her teeth shining
and a cruel stare.
"Oh no." whimpered the boy as he cringed under the gaze.
"I think I can handle it, besides I don't think Doug has the stomach for
it." she snorted.
"Hey! We aren't real girls remember?!" warned Doug anrily.
"So what? I'm not gonna sleep with a guy, but I sure as hell am gonna
enjoy this form while I have it damn it!" retorted Bill.
Dan finished stringing another cord through the remaining peice of
amulet and started walking along the endless void; almost immediately it
began to glow and a porthole automatically opened before him. "I guess
it's time we started then." he said cheerfully as he stepped forward with
his companions.
TBC....
Closing theme: Crazy by Brittany Spears.
I usually hate her, but she looked so damn good in that video! Besides
this song sounds like the ending theme to an anime.
Next time: The Wrath of Priss! The crew stumbles into Bubble gum crisis
for an unpleasant surprise.

Notes:You'll notice I'm using an actuall plot this time; neat huh? Now
some info on the manga.
In the Bakuretsu Hunters Manga [That's Sorcerer Hunters if you don't
know.] Marron has to place a special ward on his brother to turn him back
into his normal form. Tira Misu just keeps him occupied while he does it.
For those of you who haven't seen the show,
Carrot is allot like a good hearted Ataru. He has two companions, a pair
of sisters who both claim him as their own. Chocolate and Tira Misu.
Chocolate is kind of like a cross between Ryoko of Tenchi and Lum. Tira
is more shy and demure, keeping her feelings bottled up. Both repeatedly
beat on him for chasing girls.
Carrot is immune to magical attacks, because he turns into a giant
monster when he absorbs magical energy. Tira switches in to super
dominatrix mode and whips him back into shape so to speak...
Marron is Carrots younger brother and is quite handsome, he practices a
form of sorcery that uses wards to create spells. [He can do some magic
without them as well.] He is very protective of his older brother and
practices a sort of tough love. He is annoyed by his older brothers
imaturity and hopes he will grow up.
Gateau is the large powerhouse of the group, [From what I've seen.
[[Quite a bit of Manga and a few episodes of the TV show.]] he doesn't do
much but provied someone for the other characters to talk to and get beat
by the sorcerers a bit. He's pretty much a wall paper character, even
though he is pretty cool for a wall paper character.
Dan uses a cane sword as his weapon just like one I have; but he is not
a self insertion, none of these idiots are. It would be embarassing if
they where, at any rate this is a parody of self insertion not a real
one. The three original characters share only a few of my personality
quirks. In Chinese swordsmanship, [Kung Fu in particular] you dodge in a
sword fight, never using the blade to defend as it would dull the blade.
Ataru is from Urusai Yatsura; or Lum as it is sometimes known. A weird
but good early comic by Rumiko Takahashi, who also does Ranma 1/2, Maison
Ikkoku, and Inu Yasha; just to name a few. He is the universes most
letcherous boy.
Hope to see you next time as the Hunt continues.
