Can't explain this without spoilers, but there are reasons why Cthulhu is
after the big N.  I'll just say that unlike most of the others,
Nylarathotep knows what is really going on here.

It's my guess that Rei is really Cthulhu.  (Lessee, dreaming of her as an
undersea princess...  uh-_huh_.)
