Will You be my Fiance?
An Alternate History of Ranma

One thing that keeps bugging me about this fic is
that Ranma is as strong as he was in the beggining
of the manga. Now, in this story Genma hasn't trained
with Happosai therefore it would be safe to assume he
isn't stronger and can't be as good (in a relative term of
course) a teacher as his manga self. Also it seems that
Ranma didn't go on the ten year training trip so I don't see
how he could be at the same level of strength as he is
in the manga.

Well, if you're going to take that attitude, then
you might as well point out that Ranma's mother
shouldn't be around. You should also point out
that there was never a Ranko in the first place.
You should forget that Kasumi has a crush on
Ranma, or that Ryouga has an aquatranssexual
curse, or that pandas have gone out of vogue in
favor of boars. It is an ALTERNATE HISTORY,
after all.
Those events could be explained while Ranma's
power level just seems to be where it's at for convenience's
sake. I should note however that the writer told me Genma
did train with Happosai so that kinda negates my entire
argument. So, if Genma trained under Happy who did Soun
and Mr. Hibiki train under?
That's the beauty of a fanfic, isn't it? You get
to do whatever you want, cuz in your fanfic,
you are GOD. ^_^
Even God can make mistakes. ^_^
The scene with the Tendos and the Hibikis was poorly done
because we just had to assume Mr. Hibiki was there for most
of the time and no discription was given of him at all.

Yeah, I have to agree that that was poorly done
as well. The entire thing was practically skipped
and glossed over. This is a shame, because in
the real Ranma, the first episode was one of the
best, hilarious situations I had ever seen in an
anime. Well, the author did say that he was
going to fix it up.
A lot of this first chapter seemed to be running through
events that happened in the first few eps. This is probably
because the author doesn't want to have to go through
the same old scenes over again, but it would be nice to
not have it be done at a break neck speed.

Until I find better things to write about. Ja ne.
