1) I agree with Bailesu-sama on this one...  If your going to insist on a 
Ranma Charecter, I'd say Kasumi is a better fit into the girl next door 
persona than Akane.

2) I'd also suggest a couple of examples of the "harem girl" type.  You gave 
examples of the others, but not this one.  I also think mentioning Claudia 
Grant as an example of the Unatainable type would be better as she is better 
known.

3)  While it has a decent begining and an informative middle, this Essay 
still needs an ending.  It lists the types of anime girls but draws no 
conclusions about them.  Effectively, it leads us along a primrose path, and 
then suddenly stops, leaving the reader hanging in mid-air ala Wiley Cyoete 
of Road Runner fame.
