Given that this is Ranma here, what about adding the possibility
of something going wrong in the premise?  Such as something occured
when the change took place to begin with, so now something horrendously
peculiar or tragic happens in addition to/in place of Ranko being
the perfect mate?  (like how the VCR screwed up in Video Girl AI,
so she was a bit different than planned).

  Just a thought...
