Since this is an alternate Kasumi, of course I can't answer this.
But you (and the other person who wrote me about this, who I hope is
reading this reply so I can be lazy and not send him a seperate response
^_^) are completely missing the point of what I said.
I'm not questioning whether Kasumi should be nice. What I am doing is
asking the author to show us what it is that *makes* her nice.
Motivation is important. Takahashi-sama in the original Ranma 1/2 series
has shown us basically none of Kasumi's motivations, and relatively few
of the other characters' either. That's OK for her, because canon Ranma
1/2 is comedy/action/adventure. But the story we're talking about isn't;
it's a character drama (and it's an alternate universe, so Kasumi here
may be quite different from the one we know anyway). In such a genre,
it's (IMO) genrally important that we understand something about what
drives the major characters.
