~ Chapter 2: Aftermath ~

An excellent story, with a lot of potential.  I'm looking foreward to
seeing the rest of it.  One part in particular strikes me as being both
creative (I haven't seen it enter into the other Mermeid fics I've
read) AND accurate:

	A sense of panic entered his mind.  Police?  Identification?  For 
some reason unknown to him, he recoiled at those very words. 
Something deep 
within him said he should avoid both.

The difficulties of being an immortal in the Information Age--an
excellent point, and sure to be worthy of at least passing mention. 
Anonymity is a fast-fading aspect of modern life, and the immediate
future seems to make such a thing even less likely.  Hmmm... this could
definitely be a fic idea.... *Groans* Oh, hell, that's back burner
