Unfortuantely, as of late I've discovered a sad trend that has begun
with fanfiction. C&C, my life's blood, the stuff that I live on, to
tell me where other people would like me to take my writing, has dried
up.

That all depends, I suppose. My current story (probably because it was
well-advertised) received a number of responses (about 10 unique
messages). Of course, this tapered off to about 2 responses with the
current episode. I've found that you really need to sell your product on
the FFML these days; modern commercial techniques produce results that
others simply cannot. On the whole, however, public C&C, and C&C in
general has gone downhill, even since I joined.

Unfortunately part of the problem of C&C are people like me. I read, and
enjoy many stories, but don't comment on them. I think, "Someone else will,
there are so many people I've seen C&C from that can do it so much better
than me."

I'm trying to break out of that habit, but it's hard. Any habit is
hard to break if you've had it long enough. I'll try and do better in
the future.

Oh, another problem I have is I HATE reading a story twice in a short
period of time. When I first read something, and I like it, I don't want
to waste a single second C&Cing, when I could be getting further into the
story. Once I've finished reading, I have a VERY hard time going back
through it, no matter how good it is. Another thing I need to work on I
suppose.
