Bleh.  You have a point.  Well, I could 'get around' it if you've seen 
Mermaid's Scar, where Misato's adopted mother dies because she no longer has 
a will to live.  Maybe if Yuta had amnesia for a brief moment, he'd forget 
his will to live, and the amnesia would take longer to heal.  After that, 
Ikeda and Ayana become his reason for life, so his amnesia takes even longer 
to go away.  Ok, so I'm stretching it, but I really don't want to quit this 
fan-fic 'cause my IRL friends say it's the best one I've ever written (even 
though it's the second one [i think] I've ever started).
