I was happy to have finally seen my daughters after such a long time.
Star dates varied from charts to charts and system to system, but from
what I'd learned of Earth, their revolution system was remarkably
similar to Jurai's, so that would make more than. . .three-hundred years
since I'd seen my daughters, and seven hundred since I'd seen my nephew.
It pained me to have to leave them so soon, they're so young. . .and
and. . .
I wanted to say helpless, but I knew better than that. Aeka has laid
down many an arrogant suitor who would tame' my little shrew against
the houses wishes, let alone her own. And little Sasami was growing so
quickly. . .
I still didn't totally understand the change in my younger daughter; her
marks on her face no longer matched mine, but no one dared point it out
to me directly. I could tell, though, when someone wanted to say
something about it. . .It pained me to think they would doubt she's my
child. . .
I was dwelling again. (I've got to stop that,} I thought.
They'd made several lovely friends during their respite on Earth.
Mihoshi was everything I expected her to be. She had such a vibrant, yet
clumsy energy about her, but I could understand her report much more
once I had met her. It's good to have an arm of the Galaxy Police
somewhere in the picture, especially one as understanding as she is.
Emotionally of course. She had a ridiculous capacity for detail, which
was very obvious in her report that came before the council. Her powers
of observation seemed to be set back by almost an entire day, though. .
. That was part of her obvious charm, however, as she very easily and
without inhibition enjoyed her existence freely. She was obviously very
helpful to little Sasami in caring for the home, and enjoyed it too.
Now Nobuyuki on the other hand was not there for our very short visit,
something I hoped to rectify very soon. Heheheee. . .
Ahem
Then there was the devastatingly cute Ryo-Oh-Ki. My heavens! It was so
hard to equate this adorable animal, and child, with the small warship
of such devastating power that stormed Jurai and shattered Light Hawk
Wings over seven hundred years ago. Another piece of the puzzle that had
yet to be placed. . .She definitely added cheer to the house and seemed
to be a very close friend to little Sasami, and what she lacked in
semantics, she more than made up for in cuteness. And when she did that
little dance in front of Azusa, my stars, she was so brave. I have to be
frank; Azusa is not the most approachable of men, and when she did her
performance, twice, TWICE I say! Such a warm heart from one so little. .
.
Then the other of the attackers, Ryouko. She seemed so much different in
person than any of the footage of her attack on Jurai. Maybe it was
because her power was deflated so much. . .She seemed to like my girls
enough, but for the brief visit she seemed horribly lethargic. Maybe I
could find out why soon. . .heheheeeheee
<ahem>
Then the biggest piece of that pie, Washuu. Truly an enigmatic woman.
Girl? Older than most of the houses of Jurai, and obviously no slouch. .
.you have to be tough to get into space academy, let alone TEACH there.
When I was before her, I could sense an eerie quiet power, not like
anything I'd ever felt before, yet she was very genuine and candid. As
dangerous as she was potentially, she gave me absolutely no reason not
to believe every word she said. And she helped protect my girls so well.
. .why she appeared as she did though confounds me. Her illusion was
much more elaborate than Yosho's.
And my ingrate nephew Yosho. I barely got to show him my love during our
visit, gone for so long, never sending burst signal, or making effort to
come home. He always confounded me on Jurai. . .I doubt he's changed all
that much.
And then, There was Tenchi. The newest prince of Jurai. A boy barely a
decade and a half old weilding three whole light hawk wings, when only
the best can barely summon one. And so handsome too. . .I could see why
my daughters wanted to stay so much. . .he seemed to be a very simple
boy, so I had little doubt he wouldn't get along on Jurai very easily.
Maybe I'd get to know him better too. . .very soon. . eheheheheheehee
"Misaki?"
I looked up. "Yes, Sister?" Funaho was standing in the doorway of our
quarters on the ship.
"Why are you packing our logs?" she asked, tilting her head sideways
slightly.
"He hee, oh, I was just thinking of us all taking a little. . .
.vacation?"
To be continued. . .
c&C welcome
