<That wasn't meant as a compliment.> Nabiki stood up and went to
her room.
Maybe she should just say that.
She might say it to her mother, but Nabiki is a little more restrained
around her sister the Sister. :) I'll see if I can make this clear... how
about:
Nabiki sighed. "You're just like Mom, you know that?"
Akane smiled. "Thank you."
Nabiki sighed and rose to go to her room. "You know, sis, sometimes
I wished you were my little sister again instead of a 'Sister'." With
that, she turned and walked away.
Akane frowned as she tried to figure out what Nabiki meat by that.
<I'm still her sister, even if I become a nun. Aren't I?>
For the next week, Ranma and Akane would work out together in the
dojo. Ranma still wouldn't spar with a girl, but would sit and watch
Uh...Ranma just beat the bejezus out of a hundred girls. Surely he's
gotten over that little scruple.
Good point. Maybe this line when he first makes his claim to Akane:
"I'm sorry, I don't fight girls," Ranma insisted, conveniently
forgetting about the hundred girls he had beaten up during the kickboxing
tournament. He was a girl at the time, so it didn't really count as a boy
hitting a girl, right?
Ranma started running towards the front of the church. Nine meters.
Akane remained on the altar, her mind still locked in its internal
conflict. Eight meters.
Given the countdown, it sounds more like he's walking than running.
I mean, Hanaki doesn't have time for her speech if he's running the ten
meters.
I'll have to make the church bigger then... :)

Kasumi found her father cradling her mother in his arms. He
had run out of tears to shed long ago, but the expression on his face
told the story.
After several minutes of silence, Soun asked with a scratchy
voice, "Kasumi dear. Will you please say goodbye to your mother?"
"Of course, Father," Kasumi said. She stood up, took one of her
mother's hands in hers, and said a soft, "Goodbye, Mother. I'll keep
my promise."
