I agree. The stories are very different.

There is a large difference between Dark Alpha's  "Watering of a Horse" and 
Cosmic Knight's "Mist's Message of Love". They are not comparable.

Ami in "WoaH" has lived an entirely different life. She's grown up with a 
family, a martial arts family at that. She has a completely different 
history, and that makes  a big difference in her habits and behavior.

Misty in "MMoL" is adopted, presumably having lived much of her
original life. She would therefore have less differences in behavior
and such.

I find both Ami and Misty to be in character based on their different
manners of fusion.

Just my two cents...
