I thought up this little number as I was thinking
about the Ranma/Ukyo relationship. In their own way,
they really do suit each other. They share the same
interests, they have the trust and friendship
necessary for building a good relationship... With
Ukyo, Ranmas curse isnt a problem: he turns into a
girl, but she dresses like a boy, so theyll make
perfectly normal couple in either gender. Thats one
of the great things about Takahashi-sans manga: you
can make a case for each of Ranmas fiancees (Kodachi
doesnt count) .
Anyway, so I was thinking of what the series would be
like if _Ukyo_ had been Ranmas True and Intended
Fiancee. Each series starts with an opening song, so
heres this one-- (with senseless lyrics like what we
get when Japanese songs are translated into English by
mindless editors!)
Ukyo and Ranma Song
So long ago
I never thought it was you, back then.
I didnt know it was you, so young.
Broken hearts, broken lives, broken promise...
Run away
The day of reckoning comes
The dark waves of revenge
Wash away
The glittering love I thought I had
We lost the key
In the chase for our hearts.
So long ago
Destiny plays cruel games
And Im not one to gamble.
The sea is the enemy
Reflections in the waves mock
What had been.
Rain, like my tears...
Like my fears
Meet again
A battle, and we both lose
We both win
Fate never makes it easy
And love is more than a fight
Roll the dice, take your chance at romance
Either way, its four against one.
Whats your choice?
Whats your choice?
I know now that its you
I think I always knew
Just a little more time
Youll be mine.
Arent I so smart? ;) It actually all makes sense,
double sense in some lines! (Unlike that last
sentence...)
^_^
This has been a test...
