It does sound amusing (and perhaps a bit scary -- imagine Ryouga getting
his hands on the magic potion.  Or perhaps his family is really descended
from Obelix somehow, explaining his strength and not-exactly-lightning
wit).  It could even be turned into a crossover with the Ranma characters
originating from 50 BC Japan -- certainly the Japan of the time was
nothing like modern Japan, but the British tribes of the time were nothing
like the modern British, and look at Asterix in England for what they did
with them...

The idea has potential.
