The side effect
is that the reborn person has to fight to keep thier
memories for
nine months or lose who they were, and still doesn't
remember for a
few years regardless. He'd lose interest in Akane
How about if Ranma lived two sets of lives at
once? What I mean is that Ranma remembers things that
happenned in his past life when he reaches the age
when that happenned. This way he'd still be half the
same person he was. At three or so, he would experience
leaving home and resulting sadness even when he is
staying with his parents. At six he'd develop an
"imaginary friend" Ucchan in his mind. At ten he'd
have uncontrollable fits of mental shock and learn
Neko-ken. He'd remember the first time he saw himself
female, and perhaps grow to dislike his curse if he
has kept it. He'd remember falling in love with his
own mother... Talk about an Oedipus complex! And
finally he'd grow past the age he died, and stops
remembering his past life to be twice the person he
was. At this point he might try to go back in time
(a la Nanban Mirror) to stop this from happenning by
defeating the prince.
