Another idea is to have Ranma age faster than he normally would have.  Instead of having to wait 
sixteen years, he could age at 5x the rate, or how you see fit.  That way the fiancees would still have a 
chance to pester him.  In the meantime, they would have a hand in raising him, too.  Adds a little 
stress to his and Akane's life.

If that were the case, it would only take him 4-5 years to grow to maturity.  Make him age up to where 
he would naturally be, of couse (same age as the rest of the Nerima crew).  But he'd also have the 
finishing touches that Akane put in place.

Just a thought.
