Just a thought. If Ranma aged at 5 times the normal rate until he catches up to

his pre-accident age, and if he remembered his past life, there might be
another
way for Akane to avoid being dishonored without having to marry having Ryoga
or Kuno. Since I doubt anyone in the legal system would believe what
actually happened, why not have Akane legally get married to Ranma.
Then just have Akane tell everyone who isn't in the know that Ranma went
on a really long training trip or something. Of course, there would be a
problem
when Ranma came of age because Akane would have to explain why her child
isn't around anymore.
