Okay, there are alot of misconceptions when dealing with this
girl. Firstly would have to be her 'bimbo' status ^_^. Some writers tend
to forget that she IS chinese and actually learned the Japanese language
during her 'chase' with Ranma across China (It is implied that she
didn't know any chinese until leaving the amazon village since she
I assume you meant JAPANESE in the line above instead of Chinese?
umm, my bad ^^;
dealing with Mousse, She has said that she hated him before (during the
story with the 'spring of drowned duck' water) and any tender moments
dealing with the two have always dealt with her taking pity on him. Its
hard for me to buy into the idea of the two falling in love, even though
it was probably Takahashi-san's idea to put the two together...
Asctually, Rumiko Takahashi has said publicly that Ranma and Akane are the
only 'true couple' in Ranma 1/2.
yes, but she also made alot of 'convenient' alternate choices for nearly every
other character in the series. I'm almost positive Ukyo was originally meant
to go with Ryoga, seeing how they originally got along and in the second
movie, but Takahashi-san suddenly introduces Akari and Konatsu near the end of
the series as another set of 'choices'. Whether she assumed that Ryoga and
Ukyo just grew apart by the end, or she just wanted to cause more chaos for
everyone involved is debatable ^_^. actually, the only character that doesn't
have a 'counterpart' in the series is Kodachi (I don't consider Asuka as a
counterpart o.O).
thanks for the help!
