AnimeFEST was my second Con. Even though is was not as big as
A-kon back in June, I still had fun. I was looking forward this year to
seeing the Fanfiction panel. I missed it last time which upset me. I got
to the Hotel around 2:00 or so, but the 'Games' room had a costume design
class. I couldn't find the third executive room where the panel had
been moved until around 3:30. By the time I did, the discussion
was almost done. In any case, I was glad to finally put faces to the
Authors. I only accidently mistook Miko for Zen, and was trying to ask
him about when he was going to finish "Long and Winding Road."

Well, it's over now, and I guess I should say a few things about my
first-ever con, even though I'm sicker than a dog right now. Who knew
that Dallas was so freakin' humid??? All that humidity has made a nice
little nest in my lungs, on top of the icky ear-nose-and-throat thing

All I can say is that I've lived here for over a decade, and Houston is
worse. It's a good thing that you weren't here a month ago. It was over
100 degrees and quite humid every single day.

There was a *huge* security guard who patroled the dealers room. He
carried a *huge* bone, and literally growled at anyone who looked
suspicious. My brother got growled at twice.

Yeah, I think I got that too.

Ah, well, it looks like the Niquil I took is taking effect, so I guess
I'll post this before I become too incoherent, and hit the sack.

Coming in Part 2:

Getting lost in Dallas with Nick Leifker and Avatar! (There are *two*
Holiday Inns???)
Whattaburger!
I can't remember my name!
Peanut butter and honey sandwiches, with Mountain Dew!
And much more!

When I was driving up, I was personally wondering how everyone that flew
in got from the airport to the convention. It is not exactly walking
distance.
