As usual, Kasumi Tendo's fiance, Ono Tofu, was there. Nabiki Tendo had
even gotten leave from the police academy to go on holiday with her
family.

To the best of my knowledge (and how I have always written about Dr.
Tofu) Tofu is his given name. Ono is the family name. So this should be
Tofu Ono since you're using the western order for the other names.

"Hey! Ranchan!"

Ranma looked up, and saw his oldest friend Ukyo with her fiance Tatewaki
Kuno coming toward them.

Ack... Kuno and Ukyo... shudder. Only thing worse would be Kodachi and
Ryoga.

Hibiki were right behind them.

Erk...

"My counterpart is a bad cook?" Kodachi asked.

"No, she's a good cook," Ranma answered. "She just likes to poison
people. And for the record, she only had *one* alligtor."

What no awkward comment or glance at Akane when the 'bad cook' comment
comes up? :)

The Spirit danced around. "The best part! No Genma here! He died years
ago!"

"That is a good point." Ranma agreed.

Nodoka spoke up. "I can't believe you would say that my Dearest being
dead is a good thing! Genma was an honorable man!"

"He was a liar, a cheat, a glutton, and he'd steal anything not nailed
down or on fire!" the Spirit argued.

"That's not true." Ranma protested.

"Thank you, Ranma." Nodoka said, relieved.

"I've seen him steal things that were on fire." Ranma clarified.

Loved this joke.

Akane looked sad, then started to sob. "I want *MY* Ranma back!" she
wailed.

"This one is just as nice!" the Spirit said. "A bit rough around the
edges, but servicable."

"HA!" Akane protested. "I haven't been serviced in a week!"

Everyone facefaulted. Ranma looked confused. "Huh?"

"Never mind." Akane said testily - which made Ranma smile.

Maybe having Ranma have seconds thoughts about leaving right now would be
funny. <Hmmm, Akane never services me without a mallet blow first.>

   Ranko leaned in and kissed Ukyo again. Mostly she wanted to know if
the same feeling was there again. It was.
   At this moment, being the worse possible moment for them to do so,
Ranma and Akane came into the restaurant looking for Ranko. They found
her, but neither of them expected to find her like this.
   "What the hell are you doing with my fiancee!" Akane shouted.
