As Akane inhaled her first breath of sweet fresh air she tried to figure
out what was going on. She was lying on the sidewalk next to the street
and their was a small crowd surrounding her. As she sat up they all gasped
and then ran away in terror as though they had just seen a ghost. Shaking
her head she tried to remember what had happened.
She had just received a wedding announcement she had received in the mail.
It proudly proclaimed the wedding of Ranma Saotome to Ukyo Kuonji. She
still couldn't believe that the baka was marrying Ukyo and not her. She
had realized her true feelings for Ranma to late and now he belonged to
another woman.
In despair she had decided to try and proclaim her love to Ranma at last.
She had started to run down the side walk and hadn't been looking where she
was going when had crossed into the street. She had heard a screech then
felt something hit her and then there had been nothing, but blackness.
Now she was sitting on the sidewalk trying to figure out what was going
on. Shakingly standing up she started to walk home. She wasn't paying
much attention and she ended up in a dark ally. Sighing to herself she
quietly whispered, "Now I'm starting to act like Ryoga." She was staring
at the dead end wall of the ally when she suddenly felt a strange
sensation. It felt as though someone had just walked on her grave and
there was a strange buzzing sensation in her head.
Turning around she saw a strange figure at the entrance of the back ally.
As he walked closer she realized that he was leading a donkey with some
satchels on it's back. She hesitantly walked towards him and got a better
view of his face. He seemed to be of Hispanic descent and was wearing what
appeared to be a poncho.
Then he stopped in front of her and said, "I am Juan Valdez and I have
come to take your head." She stumbled back a second and said, "What are
you talking about what do you mean you've come to take my head."
As the strange man looked at her strangely a look of insight came across
his face. He said, "Ah I see that you have just recently become immortal."
"Well then that will just make it easier to kill you." He then reached
over to his donkey and brought out a scythe from one of the packs.
Akane saw that this guy was obviously a nut case. He started walking
towards her and she went into a martial arts stance and prepared for him to
attack.
The fight that proceeded was quick to say the least. Though Akane tried
her best she just couldn't keep up with the strange man's fighting style.
As she finally fell to her knees in defeat she saw him prepare the final
strike she heard him say, "There can be only Juan." However, just as he
brought the sickle around to cut off her head Akane mustered what little
strength she had left and grabbed the deadly farm tool before it could make
it's final blow.
Ripping the scythe from the his hands she quickly brought it around and
cut his head off. As she saw the head separate from the body and fall to
the ground she screamed in horror at the sight. She dropped the scythe and
tried to run away. She got about two feet when the lightning started. It
struck her from all directions and filled her very being with power.
The light show lasted for about a minute when it finally stopped. She
warily stood up and then ran away as fast as she could.
