Just a few points that should be noted when writing such a crossover.
First, since Larva can speak and take off his mask, it can be assumed
that this fic takes place in TV continuity. Now for this, it should be

She has one. I'm not saying what it is yet, though.
Second, Shinma are more powerful than the vampires. No offence to Buffy
fans out there, but the vampires in the series are wusses compared to
the Shinma and the classic Vampire. Buffy alone would have no chance
against a Shinma. Most of the Shinma can fly, which puts the Slayer at
a major disadvantage. Other known powers: summon beasts, isolation in
another dimension, charm and other mind games, use forms other than
human(a lizard, a doll, a dog are known examples), immaterial forms(one
of the Shinma in the series did not have a physical form to attack. How
Buffy would handle this is a total mystery).
There aren't going to be too many face-to-face confrontations with Shinma,
at least early on (the early chapters will focus on character and plot
development rather than fights). When it gets near Ascension time, though,
it's likely that all hell will break loose (BTW, Grad Day part 2 is showing
down here next week. No spoilers, please). And yes, Buffy is gonna have a
tough time of it. Hopefully the library has a "Shinma" section...

On the other hand, this gives a chilling example for Buffy. It would
show her what might become of her if she had to go around killing
vampires for eternity.

My idea for such a crossover would be for Buffy to go to Japan or for a
Shinma to go to Sunnydale and run into a Western Shinma. Not all the
Shinma in the TV series are evil, they might decide to help Buffy
against a powerful enemy.
Miyu is herself a Shinma, of course. As for others...

I'm also planning on having Reiha make an appearance (if she survived the
TV series - I've only seen up to ep. 16, by which time Miyu is seriously
PO'd with her), and Larva and Angel will probably turn out to know each
other, too...
