If right now we have someone like her in the battletech universe...
What could do the Ranma cast there?
You can have _some_ of them riding mechs, but I think that at
least Ranma and some others should be on foot soldiers. No one
says that they must carry guns or try to use convetional methods...
Hehe, We could have gone through some of what happened in
Ranma TOS on some secluded inner sphere planet and..
Imagine someone, Akane perhaps as an elite mechwarrior, piloting
a mech modified to carry passengers.
Entering battlefield, she'd drop these off and start doing
Akane.(Hitting
people- or mechs)
Whilst her passengers would go *on foot* and get to the mechs farthest
from
combat,
actually leap onto the mechs and take out the pilots before the poor
fools
even had time
to start the reactors..
Now this works better than all the other B-tech crossovers Ive seen
*blush*
and I could soo Nabiki making a killing selling (almost)undamaged
Mechs on the market, perhaps even back to the units that just lost them
"Aww.. that was your new prototype.. Sure you can have it back.. for a
price."
The pilots.. Ranma wouldn't like kidnapping people, but I bet he'd rather do
it
than kill 'em..
hmm..
Akane having Mech piloting skills equal to Ranma's fighting skill
would be cool as well
Especially with Akane always liking to use some sort of crutch..
The battle dougi, strength soba..
Akane:"I'm a fighter too, you know!"
Ranma:"Suure, anyone can fight with a 80 ton mech.. I still could beat you,
you're too clumsy and slow, and get hot too easily.."

the air..

Ranma using a Hiryu shoten ha on a overheated mech (that akane
just conveniently hit with a flame thrower )

Basically I think possibilities are nighe-endless..
I personally don't have enough information of the Btech-universe to write
this,
