Is it just me, or has everybody stopped posting C&C
for 'Girl Days' to the list?
Actually, as a universal rule, the longer a series runs, the
less C&C it gets. This does not reflect on quality or popularity,
it merely means that it's now taken for granted. Ask any author
of long-running series, and a majority will tell you that their
C&C has dropped off since beginning their project.
In other words, it's business as usual.
That's only too true. I try to hold out a small amount of hope
everytime, but I
rarely get any kind of C&C. As for authors responding, quite often
they get caught
up in RL immeadiatly after they post, and they don't always have the
time or energy
to respond. Other times, I think they just don't know how to respond
to what is said.
Either way, C&C is still a valuable part of writing, whether or not
there is additional
response to it. What you say to the author does have an effect.
