Save as text only. As far as I can see, that fixes all of these problems.
Not in Microsoft Tu^H^HWord. Unless you disable SmartQuotes, you _still_
get non-standard characters in the output.
Probably has something to do with the fact that those AREN'T text only
characters...
Well, the root cause of the problem is that Microsoft has a lot of
trouble playing nicely with others...
