You're also forgetting Jim Bader's A Tale of Two Wallets series, where Ranma
is Usagi's cousin, or Featherbrite's Tale (Author escapes me at the moment)
from The Bet series, where Onna-Ranma and the Combat Fiancees become Senshi
and star in a new Sailor Moon manga. Both are good fics and should be
checked out by any fan of either series. As far as I know, they're both
available through RAAC.

Subject: [FFML] Re: [teaser?][SM/Ranma] Phobia
Since those notable patterns were actually things I said on my web page
(http://ucsub.colorado.edu/~kominek/fanfiction/ranmasm.html) Then I feel
I ought respond.
Notable patterns in Ranma/Sailor Moon fan fiction:
a) Ranma turns out to be the Senshi of a new planet. (Sun, Earth, a
Jovian
moon)
I guess you haven't readed the the Paragon by Robert Haynie.
Actually I have. It seems to be unique in that he derives he powers from a
non-celestial source. I've seen the others in more than one place.
b) Ranma has a romantic relation with one of the Senshi. (Mercury,
Jupiter,
Mars)
You forgot about Venus and Pluto. There are stories where Ranma has
romantic relation with them also.
I've never seen a relationship with Venus (except for, uh, All Things
Chaotic(?) in which he seems to have a relationship with all the Senshi,
not that he knows about it. I might have stories mixed up, though)
Children of Fire is the only place I've seen a relationship with Pluto.
One story doth not a pattern make, IMO. Are there any I'm missing?
c) Ranma is related to Sailor Mercury
Ranma has also been related to Sailor Mars in some stories.
Oops. Definite omission. Thanks. I might include Sailor Moon in that, too.
d) Ranma moves to Juuban after the death of Akane or Genma.
This doesn't happen in every crossover, just 50% of them I think though.
That seems awfully like a pattern to me. I suppose I could increase the
number of stories it encompasses by saying:
Ranma moves to Juuban after, being married, finding out he is a Senshi, or
the death of Akane or Genma.
(The moving to Juuban being the interesting part of that pattern)
e) The transformational magic gives a small degree of control over his
curse.
Except in the Paragon I haven't readed a story where Ranma gets any
kind of control over his curse.
I was counting being able to turn straight into his female form by
transforming into a Senshi. I guess that is sort of iffy, though.
