Absolutely no reason at all (not that it's stopped anyone before :)
From what I've seen, having him in here would be a
bad way to do a crossover. It feels like you just made up a
character, and slapped Ranma's name on it.
Exactly what I did.
Well, it sounds like it might be fun to write, but it
was never really my intention to do so. I just
suggested it a few days ago and it was completely
ignored. Since even the most vague and inane
Ranma crossover idea seems to garner plenty of attention
I decided to do a little experiment. I changed
one of the names to "Ranma", and posted it as a crossover.
Responses poured in, of course. Most were like yours,
noting that except for the OOC Ranma the story seemed
reasonable. Others said it just sucked, because...
well, just because. One person actually provided an
insightful critique with interesting points -- I
would certainly take them into account.
You can only cry "wolf" once with effectiveness,
and the villagers aren't too thrilled about it,
so if the story does get written it will not
be posted here. In fact, I'll probably be
unsubscribing now :)
Take him out, and you have one hell of a story there.
