I found out you were a boy today. I am so pleased.
But I hope you will not take after that wretched
father of yours.
You are the only worthwhile thing to ever come
from that man.
But let us not speak of him.
I am writing this because I don't think I'll
live through your birth and I wanted you to
know how much I, your mother, love you.
I've already selected your name. I chose it
because it sounds like a name one would give to
an angel.
You are always in my heart and I wish I could
be there to nurture you and watch you grow. I wish
I could be there to counter all the evil I know
your father will do. Do not believe what he says
about you. You are not hers, you are my son, and I
love you with all my heart.
But somehow, I know I won't be able to.
I am so very sorry.
