Indeed. Seems that something got a bit mixed up here. And one other
thing struck me at the end of the fic - where was Ryoko? Of all the
characters, Aeka and Ryoko were the two that struck me as never
wanting to leave Tenchi's side. So it seemed a bit odd that there
wasn't even a whisper about Ryoko - why she wasn't there with him
(although I could guess).

Anyway, everything seemed to make sense (except maybe his marriage to
Aeka... but that's a personal preference) until we see Aeka planning the
invasion of Earth.
I thought she loved Earth... besides, in some way, don't they already
somewhat control it (since they do have it sequestered).
And why in the world would they want to invade it in the first place?
A small, back-water world that doesn't even have the capability for
interplanetary flight, much less interstellar. Occupied by a race
that happily butchers itself for rather stupid reasons.
Perhaps if Aeka has given a few reasons, other than "It's for the
best." Even if they were insipid, arrogant, stupid reasons - there'd
still be some sort of motivation, something to clue the reader in on
why Aeka had chosen such a drastic path, knowing that the Emperor
himself would never agree to it.
Perhaps she wants to "help" the world? She does like Earth, given, perhaps
she doesn't want it to slit it's own throat?
