seem to have realized five minutes after you wrote this reply. :)

Darn. Another over-my-head reference... but then, the reference *I* was
making, to "The Great Race" ("Push the button, Max!") is probably too
obscure these days...
I've never seen that; my reference was to Mystery Science Theater 3000
("Push the Button, Frank!") specifically the "Sidehackers" ending. They
may have gotten the running "Push the button" joke from "The Great
Race," for all I know.
Actually, I think the Principal would be laughing hysterically at this.
He likes a good joke, even when it's on him. :) Besides, think of all
the students who'll have to work overtime fixing his office.
Good point. How about a receding cry of "Auwe!" followed by hysterical
laughter, then?
