The FAN FICTION FORMATTING TOOL (3FT)
A little something I came up with over the weekend...
For all you people out there who send your fics to this list only to be
shouted at for not formating it properly, help is at hand. Formatting
raw text files into 70-ish character lines is a pain in the arse, and I
got so sick of it after hand-formatting RoD 2 yesterday, that I knocked
up this little program. It takes a text file and wordwraps it, sticking
newlines on the end of each line.
It's reasonably intelligent, but it only took about ten minutes to
code, so there's likely to be some bugs. Give it a try, although I
warn you now, you use it entirly at your own risk. I am not
responsible for any loss of data or the consiquences thereof. (Sorry,
I have to say that ;)
If enough people think this is a good idea, I'll develop it further.
Hopefully it will at least be of use to the poor sods who're stuck
using WordPad and nothing else. Plus, I wrote it to conform to the
FFML and RAAC rules.
