Sailor Mars and ice powers, together --- ¿¿¿why not??? In the manga,
Hino Rei is the serious "ice queen"[giggle]... so I decided to give
her ice powers too. In "Saint Seiya", Hagen(so kawaii!) could attack
Hiyoga(Cygnus) with both ice and fire; and in "Yuu-Yuu Hajusho", Hiei
attacks with !kool! black flames; he is a *fire* daemon, but his
mother was an *ice* demon... then I supposed, **this** the actual
reason why he was *the first one* to ever master such a terrific power;
BTW, this is the type of things that probably either was not evident
even to the creator of YYK or was intentionally never explicited.
Last but not least, there is an analytically evident androgyny in Hiyoga,
Hagen, Hiei, and Sailor Mars, then I finally wanted to create Extreme
Sailor Mars, having both fire and ice powers. You see: on the one hand,
Hagen's guardian-star is represented by Odin's eight-legged horse
(and "everybody knows" what an eight-legged horse means);
on the other hand, Mars's altered glyph(a heart in place of a
circle) not only reminds us of Sailormoon's kitsch "Ai No Message",
it does resemble the male sex organs of most mammal speciei. Besides,
Hiyoga's insane love for his dead mother is so typically homosexual...
and his guardian-animal, the swan(Latin: cygnus, ancient Greek: kýknos
[<FONT face="Symbol">KUKNOS</FONT>]), is a traditional symbol of androgyny
(in the "I Ching", its *equivalent* is the wild goose --- hexagramme 53). So...
¿What if... Hino Rei actually was a transvestite? Deranged fanfickers!,
