Howdy!
Just a thought that popped into my mind while reading this
chapter.
Nabiki was not nearly this mercenary and materialistic in the
beginning of
the manga series. She started out small, selling pictures and such,
and as
the series progressed she became worse and worse, just as Kasumi
became more
and more spaced out. I realize that having her being this eager for
money is
probably important to your storyline, but I would like to see more
reasoning
behind her thoughts.

"Ooh! I found an available rich guy, who will probably continue to make
a good living for the rest of his life; and he's cute too!"

I am finding the characterization of Nabiki
being a
cold-hearted, vicious, mercenary bitch a bit boring and
unsubstantiated
lately, and your story has stuck her right into this cliche. Give
her more
personality than just this portrayal.

I thought I made it pretty clear that Nabiki isn't all that cold
hearted, she's already starting to tease him a little. [I.E. the bathroom
scene near the end.] Plus the fact that Ranma is rich already should tone
down her mercenery streak after a while. I'm planning to take advantage
of the slightly boy crazy girl that was seen at the beginning of Ranma
1/2.
Nabiki's mercenery streak was probably brought on by Ranma's property
damaging antics, as well as being around someone like him has got to be
stressful. Someone always trying to kill your sister? People showing up
and commiting random acts of violence all the time? Two freeloading
houseguests? Random fiancee damage? Constant arguing in the home, almost
all the time?
At least some of these problems will be avoided now since he and his
family have money, he can actually pay for damages caused by his fights
now. There is also less financial strain on the Tendo household, Genma
and Ranma can contribute to the home easily now, thus the need for money
isn't as bad any longer.
However it is also made clear later on in the manga that Nabiki has
probably been at like this for a while, maybe Takahashi san caught her on
a good day in that first part? Selling photo's of her own sister that she
knows the girl doesn't want getting around is pretty cold. Especially to
the boy that is actively stalking her at school. Hence her current
attitude.

Other than that the story is good. I look forward to future
chapters!
