First off, for anyone writing Slayers fanfiction, the site to
consult is http://www.inverse.org/. Under Background there is a
Spell Lexicon, listing all the Slayers spells, categorizing them
by type (Black, White, Shamanistic), and describing them, including
which no longer work at some point, e.g. Gaav Flare, which no longer
works after Gaav's death. Feel free to make up spells as you like,
though I'd hesitate to make up any as strong as Giga Slave or
Ragna Blade.
There is also information from the Encyclopedia Slayers, with
maps of the world and the subcontinent where most of the series takes
place, as well as a history of the world including a timeline.
As for the questions about pregnancy, the average onset of morning
sickness starts 5 1/2 weeks after the last mentrual period. In some women,
it can happen within days of conception, though this is rare. Severity
and duration of morning sickness, as well as when it occurs during the
day, is highly variable, not only between different women, but also for
one women from one pregnancy to another.

there's nothing contradicting this, some pact that sorcerors follow that
keeps them from military service.
Check the site for this, I'm not sure. At a guess, I'd say it could
happen, but the most powerful sorcerers would seem too solitary and
independent by nature to serve in the military by choice. Still, I'd think
there would likely be some use of magic in warfare.
