Actually, there is a Banpresto game out there called Super Robot Wars designed with this idea in mine, except it is MUCH MUCH bigger and is totally cool. It contains all of the Gundam Series, Evangelion, the Mazingers, and a host of other giant robot and mecha animes in Japanese anime industry.
The gameplay is solid enough that u have no need to understand Japanese to enjoy. Can probably get it as an import game on the Playstation.
If anyone who actually reads/understands written Japanese can write a fanfic based on this game, it would be great!

4b. EVA/Gundam Wing Crossover/Fusion/Alternate Universe.
Not too familiar with EVA, so not sure entirely how this would work.
Split comes around episode 5, I think. Another organization, OZ, creates an
artificial method of battling the Angels. Heero, Duo, Trowa, Quatre, Wufei,
and Zechs Pilot Gundams equipped with Minovsky fields, capable of
penertrating an Angel's AT Field. Watch the Gundams compete with the EVAs
for kills! Watch Asuka and Duo get into constant arguments(don't know why,
I just see this happening)! See Heero get into a staring contest with Rei!
