Actually, Asuka doesn't behave like that all the time. She's actually quite civil to Shinji unless its something important Shinji messed up >> for instance her lunch ^_^.

She scolds him for being a baka all the time because to her, he appears too weak and whiny to be an Eva pilot. She never actually wacks him or anything if I remember correctly.

Perhaps its because I never saw the English dub - I heard that Asuka curses even more in German there :-) I have the original ver - Asuka sounds more like a wife nagging away in this irritating tone of voice more than anything else. And of course she loves to tease her housemate... :)

The worse was when it was that time of the month for her just after the infamous kiss episode... mweh heh heh.

Overall, the fic itself is okay, just tone down the fury and anger slightly. Most of the time, Asuka isn't like that. Some real ppl I know act just like her when they get pissed... :-)

Subject: [FFML] [FFML][Eva] Infuriation

All characters and situations herein are property of people other than
myself. No spoilers that I can think of, but there always seem to one or
two that slip through.

Infuriation

How dare he?! That question had been burning through Asuka's mind all
morning, and every time she thought that her infuriation would extinguish,
or at least, cool down, she looked at him, and got angry all over again.
It had not been a good day for the redhead.
First, Idiot Boy had been late in waking up, which meant that she'd gone
without breakfast. Then, as she was getting ready to yell at him, Misato
reminded them that school was starting soon, so they had to charge out the
door and run all the way to the school, barely avoiding some of the more
reckless drivers. Then, too late to do anything about it, naturally, she
found out that he'd forgotten to bring their lunches, again, even though
he'd packed them this time. Then she'd had to explain to Hikari how,
because of the late morning, she'd forgotten to pick up some school papers
that she'd agreed to. Now he was sitting there, with the other two,
talking and generally having a nice time like a good little stooge.
The fact that Wonder Girl was sitting off to the side, staring out the
window was not helping her mood any. Hikari was off to the side, vainly
trying to get her to talk. What good would talking do when that Idiot was
still in one piece? Revenge. That's what would make her feel better. A
good, real dose of revenge. Make him embarrassed in front of all their
classmates. Yes... that would be good for Asuka 'the best Eva pilot ever'
Langely Sohryu.
So, she pondered plot after plot after plot, trying to find the best one
to be her instrument of revenge. Unfortunatly, it being a bad day and all,
none were sticking around long enough for her consider them seriously.
They all involved something extremely childish, something that she was
trying desperatly to get away from ever since Kaji expressed his
displeasure with childish people.
Someone called her name and her gaze swept around the room, looking for
the intruder. Unfortunatly, she got as far as the Boy, and flew into rage
anew. Unwilling to let herself stew any longer, she ignored the caller of
her name and stalked over to the little twit. When he released what was
going on behind him, he turned around and got one look at her. She started
yelling at him, berating him for every little annoying thing he'd done
since she last yelled at him. And there were plenty of those.
He tried to make some pathetic excuse, and she would have none of it.
After testily informing him of her opinion of his sanity, IQ, maturity,
emotional openness, choice of friends, and colour of his Eva, and nearly
hitting him with a flailing limb, she turned around, after giving her
trademark upturned nose and sniff dismissal, and stalked away.
Finally going to see what it was that Hikari had wanted, she put the boy
she unfortunatly had to call her housemate out of her mind. Or, she tried
to. For some absolutly stupid reason that failed to show itself she
couldn't stop thinking about him. Leaning over, she did the problem that
Hikari had presented her with, and promptly heard something crash and
several desks being dislodged and the room dissolving into laughter.
Turning back around, she could see that Idiot Boy had somehow fallen out of
his seat and down a few rows.
Even she had to admit, as strange as it was, it was funny. While she
looked at him, something started to nag at the back of her mind. She tried
to focus on it, but it wouldn't allow itself to join her in the light.
Then a plan formed itself in her mind. A deliciously sweet and simple plan
that would affort maximum revenge for the minimum amount of work required
to pull it off. And absolutly no chance of anything embarassing happening
while doing it. That she got embarassed while pulling these stunts on the
Three Stooges almost infuriated her as much as the Twerp did that morning.
Almost.
Slowly, she walked over, and extended her hand, trying her best to look
nice and helpfull. At first he was wary, who wouldn't be? And her plan
suddenly hit a snag. It hinged on him accepting her help. For the one of
the longest moments of her life, she waited for him to make up his mind.
Then he took her hand, and she pulled him up. Once he got to the standing
position, she placed her hands on his chest and pushed firmly, sending him
back to the ground for the second time in as many minutes.
Ahh... she knew it would feel great, making him suffer like that. She
started to walk away from him, when a look in his eyes caught her
attention. She paused for a brief moment, but only a moment. When she
then moved away, for some reason her foot wouldn't obey its instructions
and move. Instead, she somehow landed uncerimoniosly in a heap on the
ground, right on her own tail. Then it slowly sinked in that the little
twit had somehow managed to slip a foot behind her ankle and trip her.
Oh, how embarassing. And in front of everyone else, too. Even the Wonder
Girl had seen it. He was going to get it, this time. Oh, yes he was!
Sitting up, indignation written all over her face, she glared hard at the
male opposite her. Or, she tried to. For some reason, the glare just
wouldn't come. She even tried her well-practiced 'you're a big, giant
idiot' glare that she'd spent so many hours practacing on the boy before
her; but even that wouldn't stay.
Sighing to herself, she got up, trying, and failing, to do so with
dignity. She brushed herself off, mentally berating the Pervert Boy for
not doing his job in cleaning up, no matter how much Hikari badgered him.
That little nagging at the back of her mind returned, and she looked up.
Only to see her teammate looking at her with an incredable intensness.
She wondered what he was looking at. Then she realised that he was
looking at her.
She wondered why he was looking at her. Then she realised that the
intenisty of his gaze had never wavered.
She wondered what he was doing, looking at her like that. Then she
realised that her breathing was becoming uneven.
Then she wondered if it was possible to have a heart attack at fourteen.
But then something changed, and his gaze shifted away from her. For some
odd reason, she found herself missing that look. Then she caught herself
and tried to shake those evil, ugly thoughts from her mind. Turning her
nose up at him, though noticibly less than before, she walked away.
Then she got a glimpse of her classmates' faces. They were all
slack-jawed at what had happened right before their very eyes. Her cheeks
started heating up when she looked back over at Idiot Boy, now
Soon-To-Be-Dead Boy, and saw him sitting pleasently with the other stooges,
acting like nothing had happend to tarnish her image.
The heat in her face grew when she realised that another of her fine plans
of revenge had backfired on her and she was again the laughingstock of the
class. Her murderous gaze shifted back to the dark-haired, dark blue-eyed
housemate of hers. This was his fault, somehow.
	How dare he?
