If Mara was some how involved in switching the babies then Belldandy
might not have noticed the switch. But even if the switch was discovered
Mara would take steps to make sure that finding Ranma would be nearly
impossible.
After all what better way for Mara to make Belldandy and Kenchi
miserable
than by stealing their child?
