My fic is only involved with Tenchi and Slayers so far, but there is more
at my site. C and that other C is good. If I get any, that is. Hope you
enjoy.

"Yes! It's done! At last!" Washu jumped up from her desk chair and ran to
the door.
Outside of this mini-dimension, the Masaki home was still, for it was early
morning. The stars were lazily dimming, but there was no sunlight as of yet.
The air outside was chilly, yet-
WHAM! The closet door under the stairs opened so hard and fast that it
became embedded in the wall, which had just gained a large amount of cracks.
Washu gripped the door handle, although the door was open. She looked
around. No one in the living room or the kitchen. In fact, everyone was
sleeping. "Hey! Where is everybody?" She flew up the stairs and feveredly
rapt on Ayeka's door.
"Hey! Come and see my new invention!"
A groggy Ayeka answered through the door. "Uhh... Washu! Is there a
problem?" She quickly opened the door.
"No... But this is very important."
"Oh, dear. Let me change." She turned when she closed the door. "No, go
back to sleep, Sasami..."
Washu smiled and ran to the back of the hall. "Mihoshi! I have something to
show you..." She paused. Maybe it would be better if Mihoshi did not come.
She would not understand anyway. Unexpectedly, the door opened. Mihoshi
stood there, with her blond hair still magically in its fantastic style. She
seemed quite perky for the time of the morning.
"What's up, Washu?"
"Um, well..." She shrugged. "I completed a new invention... do you want to
see it?"
Mihoshi nodded.
"Tell Ayeka to meet me in my laboratory."
Mihoshi nodded.
Washu's eyes grew big. "No! Wait at the door until I'm there." Mihoshi
nodded again. Washu did not want Mihoshi stumbling around inside.
Washu went to Tenchi's room.
"Oh, Tenchi! I have a surprise for you." There was no response. "Hello?
Anyone here?" She opened his door to see Tenchi spread out on his bed. His
sheet was wrapped around a leg and the rest covered his torso.
"Tenchi!"
He sat up. "What! ...Oh, Washu, it's..." He looked to his clock. "Oh man,
it's three in the morning."
"I have a surprise for you."
"Why does that sound like bad news?" He lowered himself to lie down again,
but Washu caught him.
"I don't think so." She pulled him out of the bed by his shirt and down to
the door to her laboratory. He was only in shorts and shirt. "Hey! I'm not
fully-" He cut off when he saw Mihoshi and Ayeka. He gulped. However, there
was no use fighting Washu.
Ayeka was startled to see Tenchi. "Oh! Good morning, Tenchi."
"It hasn't been so great," he replied.
Washu looked at the embedded door and shrugged. She pulled Tenchi inside,
while the other two followed. However, behind them was yet another, smaller
figure.
"The reward, of course! Why else would we go to all this trouble?"
Lina looked to Gourry.
"Um..." He tapped his head.
She sighed. "You don't have to answer the question."
"That's a relief. All I could think of was that you would only bother if
you'd get a reward."
Lina tried to ignore his last statement and continued hiking up path. The
sun gradually lowered to the horizon, while the shadows of the mountains
grew around them. The rocky path was desolated. Although their hike was hard
work, it was the fastest way to get to the town.
"Why don't we stop and... Gourry! Look! A hot spring!" She pointed to a
flat area nearby, and, sure enough, there was a bubbling hot spring.
"I'm gonna take a bath!" She jumped to the rim of the pool. "Don't let me
catch you looking, or I'll make you wish you hadn't." Gourry knew that she
was dead serious.
"All right, but don't take long..." Gourry paused to think and looked
toward the sun. "It's getting late anyway."
Lina turned around again. "So we can stay here for the night?" She was
excited to be able to rest and, especially, sleep.
"Uh, sure. Why not?"
Washu pressed a few buttons on the console. With a great whir, the machine
seemed to start. The console itself was not big; however, there was a six
and a half foot tall glass case was attached to it. Beams caged the glass to
support it. A door was set in the middle of the glass, also made of the
same. There was a small set of buttons and dials on the inside. Nobody
noticed Sasami watching them behind a nearby box.
"So, Washu... what does it do anyway?" Ayeka inquired.
"I've been waiting for someone to ask... You ready?"
Ayeka nodded slowly.
"It's a multi-transdimensional teleport elevator!" she said with some
gusto. She motioned her hands upward toward it.
Nonetheless, no one looked astonished or even excited. They only stared at
it, in case it started to do anything interesting. But it only sat there.
"Hey! This was extremely hard to make! Making dimensions is easy, but
travelling to an unknown area and space by at least a difference of sixteen
degrees worth of dimension quantum relativities- and don't get me started on
the possible extrapolations of just the..." Washu was saying the whole
sentence in one breath, and she didn't appear as if she was going to inhale
any time soon. The blank look of Ayeka matched Mihoshi's. Tenchi was asleep,
standing up, with his head slumped forward.
Washu noticed this and threw a nearby tool at him. Interestingly, the Light
Hawk Wings appeard and blocked the object's momentum. He jurked up to see
the Wings dim in front of him.
"Hey! Why did..." He noticed that everyone was staring at him. "Uh...
well... does it work?" Tenchi said lamely.
Washu gave an exasperated look. "Would I trouble you all just to show you
an invention that was not even complete?!?"
Their expressions said that she may, but no one spoke up.
"Fine! All of you! In here! We're going!"
She managed to shove them all in the case.
"Going!?! Where? I'm not even fully dressed!" Tenchi shouted. He tried to
struggle, but it was to no avail.
Washu spun some knobs. She didn't bother to see how it was set.
"I think we should tell the others we're going," said Ayeka.
She pushed the big red button under the dials. The whirring suddenly became
loud, and lights on the console began to flicker. Small lights in the
elevator ceiling shone on the four in the box. "We won't be gone for long."
Washu said.
Sasami ran out from behind her hiding place. "Ah! Ayeka wait!" she shouted,
but she was too far, and voice too soft.
A portal surfaced under the 'elevator', and it began to sink into the
floor.
"Oh, no!" Sasami stared in horror as it descended. She lurched to the
console and started to press buttons, in hope to stop whatever was
happening. Unfortunately, a flash threw Sasami backward. She landed with a
wince. The top of the box stopped nearly eight inches from the floor, and
the portal remained open. She ran out of the lab to find help.
Lina's eyes opened to the morning sun. However, her intuition told her
something was unusual. Perhaps, it was the body resting on her. If it was
Gourry, she'd have to shove him off. Then, she realized that the body was
too light to be Gourry. She slowly raised her head to see a young male lying
on her stomach. What particularly surprised her was that he was only wearing
some kind of shorts and a short shirt.
"Aah!" She jumped up. His head hit the gound.
"Digger bolt!" Soon as the words were spoken, a flash of lightning sprung
from her hand and rushed to the intruder.
He opened his eyes to see the rush of lightning.
"Yaah!" Tenchi shouted as he was engulfed in the bolts. It was over within
half a second. Surprisingly, there was no pain. It was like a ping of static
shock.
"Oh, no," Lina thought. "Not now... I need my power."
Tenchi jumped back and posed as if he wielded a blade. "What are you
doing?" Tenchi looked around, not taking his eye of the girl. "Where am I?"
"The question is what are you doing?" She looked over to see Gourry still
sleeping. None of the commotion woke him.
"Gourry! Wake up!"
He awakened and sat up.
"Wha..." he stretched. "What's up?"
"Him! Over there!" She pointed at the new guy.
"Hey! I didn't want to do anything!" Tenchi looked wearily to the blonde.
"What's wrong with him?" Gourry asked as he stood up.
"What do you mean 'what's wrong with him'? He was..." She paused and looked
to Tenchi. "What were you doing?"
"I wasn't doing anything! I was unconscious because Washu's machine-" He
gasped. "Oh, man! Where is everyone?"
"Boy! He's awfully lost for someone to sneak up on you," Gourry whispered
to Lina.
"You may not trust me, but I need to get home. Where's the nearest city?"
"Tenchi? Tenchi, is that you?" A new feminine voice was heard from down the
path. "Mihoshi?" he responded.
They all looked toward the source to see a tall, blond girl with big, blue
eyes staring at them.
"Tenchi!" Mihoshi shouted. She ran up and shook him. Gourry gave a
surprised look. "Tenchi, where are we? I wanna go home," Mihoshi whined.
"Ma- Mi- Mihoshi! I'll get us home, I hope."
"I think we should help them," Gourry said aside to Lina.
"Why should we go out of our way?" Lina demanded
"Lina! They have no food... or that much clothing." He glanced at Mihoshi.
She only was wearing tank top and sweats, and she didn't seem to care.
"Uh... They aren't even from here."
"Humph. We'll only take them to Riverhill. Then, they're on their own."
"You guys are going to help us?" Mihoshi suddenly said from beside them.
"Hey! Don't you know when two people are having a private conversation?"
Lina shouted to her. Mihoshi jumped back and held her hand to her chin.
Gourry looked to Mihoshi. "We'll help you... uh, what is your name?"
Mihoshi smiled charmingly. "I'm Mihoshi."
"-and then it stopped in the floor."
Yosho was watching Sasami. From behind her, the windows of the house
reflected the stars.
"It seems that they were being transported to another dimension," Yosho
said in his deep voice. He stood up.
"Is there anything I can help with?" Kiyone was standing in the doorway,
dressed in a nightshrit and robe.
"Yes. We must hurry."
When they arrived in Washu's lab, Sasami showed Yosho the way toward the
transport-elevator device. Smoke was fuming from the console, and the portal
in the floor was flashing different colors. Creaking noises came from the
metal floor.
"Hmm..." said Yosho thoughtfully. After a moment, he said, "It seems
unstable."
Kiyone looked to him, wondering if he was sane. She jumped when a bolt of
electricity jumped from the console to another console further on the left.
Sasami suddenly screamed and tried to point at the flashing portal. A hand
had appeared and was grasping the floor. An attached arm pulled up a body
that looked like Washu. She was quite visibly under much stress. When she
finally stood up, she materialized her computer and began typing. The
flashing portal calmed itself, and the noise levels dropped to only hums
from the surrounding equipment. Wisps of smoke came from Washu's clothing.
"Tenchi..." she murmured as she fainted.
Tenchi watched the trees slowly pass by them. The group's footsteps were
loud, but it was still peaceful inside the forest. The trees reminded him of
the tress back at home, but these were not the same type. He wondered how
far he had been taken. He stopped walking and stared at certain tree. Ten
seconds later, Lina noticed that he stopped.
"Hey! What are you doing?" She was tempted to angry at him for suddenly
stopping, but she noticed that he wasn't resting. He was peering at
something in the trees on side of the path.
Five or so seconds passed, then Lina whispered to Gourry, "What's he doing?
Do you think-"
"Tenchi? Tenchi! Hellooooo?" Mihoshi shouted. She ran the twenty feet to
him and slowly looked to where he was staring. She jumped when a short,
red-haired girl with very spikey hair stepped out and started talking to the
two companions. She took something from her pocket, and it unfolded itself
to a cubic foot or so.
Suddenly, Mihoshi shouted at her, "Stop! Washu!" She drew her gun from no
where, and pointed towards the girl. Lina and Gourry noticed that Mihoshi
was trying to defend herself, and they started to run toward the three
ahead. Tenchi was shouting something. The forest suddenly turned very dark,
and Lina felt someone preparing a powerful spell. She made a fist and dashed
ahead.
"DIGGER BOLT!" She threw the bolts at the girl.
Mihoshi shouted, "No!"
The girl suddenly realized that Lina was attacking _her_ and glanced on the
metal box-object she was carrying. She suddenly noticed two men in the trees
where the girl had walked out from. However, it was too late to stop her
assault. The two men readied themselves when they saw her. One of the men
had thrown three daggers at Tenchi, and one lodged into his chest. The other
cut by his side and the other flew past him. Tenchi gasped, fell on his
knees, and collapsed.
The bolts engulfed the girl and she dropped the device. Lina was preparing
to attack one of the men when Gourry dashed up to do just the same. However,
he tripped on the box and lost his balance. He stumbled into the trees. One
of the men watched him, and drew his sword.
Mihoshi dropped her weapon and crouched next to Tenchi. She checked his
pulse to find that he was somewhat intact, for now. He must have become
unconscious from shock, or maybe...
The sorcerer enemy suddenly put his arm around Washu and backed from Gourry
with his other arm pointed at Lina as a shield.
"FIRE-" Lina initiated her spell, but the metal box rattled and spewed
bolts of electricity in arcs in the surrounding path. The area was lit
again, but Lina was caught by one of the larger arcs. She stood paralyzed
for a few seconds. He saw the chance to defeat her. He began on a fire
spell, but the girl elbowed him in the stomach. He bent over and released
his fire spell to grind into the ground. She paused for only a moment, and
ran to the box on the floor.
The sorcerer looked up and cast a flurry of ice spells at Lina; she
countered easily with a few flare arrows.
Gourry finally lunged at the swordsman, who barely blocked his attack. The
clangs of their swords were quick and dangerous. The swordsman saw the girl
from the corner of eye, and he threw a small sword towards the girl. Gourry
took no hesitation to jump into the path of the weapon, and knock her over.
It cut into his upper arm, and he gritted his teeth. Then, he landed on his
face. Small objects that were in Washu's hand became scattered about. She
cursed to herself quite harshly.
"Gourry!" Lina has seen the events and forgot about the sorcerer. He smiled
and drew another spell. This ice bolt was not deflected, and it smacked into
Lina's side. It froze a portion of her torso and she fell into the dirt. The
pain was excruciating.
When Washu ran back to the machine, another arc of lightning jerked her
arm. She smacked the box out of spite, and the area blacked into darkness
from the sudden lack of the box's discharges. The excitment in the air
suddenly grew stiff. The two swordsmen stopped their clamor and backed away
from each other, looking around nerviously.
A low, undulating sound abruptly covered and shook the branches above them.
A eerie wind started, but it did not affect the leaves or banches. It's
strength increased, and the parties realized that the force was not pushing
them, it was pulling them toward the Washu's machine. There was an
electrical field around her, and she as floating only two feet above the
ground. She was not conscious.
A round portal grew from above her and the box, and it's perfectly pulsing
sides were in synch with the deafing beat. The weakened Tenchi and Lina were
sucked in first. Soon as they reached the center, the black portal swollowed
them inside. Mihoshi made a fist and jumped into the portal after Tenchi.
The enemy sorcerer had tried to run away, but he was taken off his feet, and
also was devoured by the portal.
The last two men clutched onto the trees next to them. Pain flooded into
Gourry's head from the knife in his arm. They were both pulled so that their
bodies were pointed at the hole in space. Gourry's shod boots were taken off
his feet. It came to him that Lina had fallen into it. Without hesitation,
he let go of the trunk. The other fighter watched him fall and disappear.
He, too, followeed.
As soon as his body disappeared, the portal vanshed, and Washu dropped to
the ground.
