Chapter 2: A Dash of This, a Pinch of That.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Schneider" Ranma said, looking at the platinum
haired
man in front of her. "This might sound odd, but you aren't here to kill
me
are you?"
That's pretty polite for Ranma. It's also grammatically correct, which is
odd.
Dark Schneider blinked, several times, at the young lady in front of him.
"I
don't think so. I was in the middle of a battle then suddenly I was here."
Ranma smiled, "Well, things like that happen all the time around here.
Welcome to Nerima. I was just about to have something to eat, would you
like some? I'm afraid all I have is salad. Everyone else is away for the
weekend and that's all that's in the refridgerator."
Wow, the passion spice must be having an effect already, she's acting more
and more feminine all the time.
Dark Schneider smiled, "Certainly. With all the fighting, I haven't had a
chance to eat anything. "
Ranma led Dark Schneider inside the dojo, and retrieved the salad from the
refridgerator, along with a couple of cans of soda, and placed them on the
table before sitting down across for the slightly befuddled Dark Schneider
who picked up one of the cans and was examining it.
Ranma smiled slightly, he reminded her of some of the people in the back
country of China that had never seen a soda can before. "You pull that
ring
on top of the can towards you and it opens.
Dark Schneider pulled the ring in question, the can popping open with a
hiss. He peered down into the can for a few moments, trying to figure out
what this demon called 'Coca-Cola' was, before Ranma spoke up. "It's
something to drink." Dark Schneider blinked at Ranma, then lifted the can
to his lips and tilted it back. His eyes opened with surprise as the
sweet
liquid poured over his lips, swallowing before he even thought about it.
"This... This is wonderful. Where did you find this?"
Ranma blinked in surprise, she had never seen anyone react to coca-cola
like
that before. "In the refridgerator. Kasumi keeps us well stocked."
Dark Schneider blinked as well, "What is this refridgerator? And is
Kasumi
your Goddess?"
Ranma boggled. Even the people in China knew what a refridgerator was.
"Its
a place to keep food cold and fresh. And Kasumi is Mr. Tendo's eldest
daughter. She does most of the cooking and cleaning around the house."
Dark Schneider paused a moment to think, "And where does Kasumi get it?"
He
wanted to bring some of this back with him, Yohko and Arshe would love it.
"At the grocery store." Ranma replied.
"Grocery store?" Dark Schneider asked.
Ranma blinked, This guy must really be from the backwoods he though.
"Yeah,
it's an indoor market place."
Dark Schneider smiled, "Ahh, that explains much."
Ranma smiled too, the good humor at the table was infectious. He filled 2
bowls with salad, and passed one over to Dark Schneider.
Dark Schneider smiled again, this salad was something he understood at
least. He glanced at Ranma again. She really is quite fetching, he
thought.
She is easily as beautiful as Yohko or Arshe. Perhaps he would take her
with him when he returned to Metalicana.
They began to eat in silence, Dark Schneider blinking in surprise
occasionally at the unusual tastes among the more familiar ones. "This is
very good Ranma, did you make this?"
Ranma smiled, "Yeah, I just threw some stuff together out of the fridge.
It
turned out pretty well." Ranma noticed that Schneider had a nice smile,
but
shoved the thought rudely aside. Guys didn't think about other guy's
smiles.
The two of them continued dinner, chatting amicably about this and that,
Ranma never realizing that she was actually flirting with Dark Schneider
at
times.
Dark Schneider did notice, however, and was responding to it, even though
he
couldn't tell if Ranma was picking up his hints that he found her very
attractive or not.
After dinner, Ranma stacked the dishes in the sink. "I'll take care of
these later on. No one here but me and him anyway." Something about that
bugged her, but she couldn't put her finger on it so she let it go and
returned to the living room and plopped onto the couch, reaching for the
TV
remote.
Dark Schneider sat in a chair, relaxing a bit, and watching Ranma as she
walked through the room to the couch, noticing how her clothes moved
against
her body. His eyes nearly bulged out of his head as she flopped onto the
couch, her chest bouncing. A moment later he was starting in awe. Not
at
Ranma's chest though, but at the TV set. "What kind of magic box is
this?"
Ranma blinked at Dark Schneider, "It's not magic, its just a TV set. It
shows programs that TV stations broadcast."
Dark Schneider looked skeptical, but calmed down, watching the tv set and
glancing occasionally at Ranma, who was of much more interest to him.
As for Ranma, she was having a hard time concentrating on the TV. She
couldn't seem to get Dark Schneider out of her mind. The way the light
glinted in his eyes, the way his hair moved in an unseen breeze, the way
his
muscles moved under his clothing...
Dark Schneider finally had enough of sitting around stareing at a box and
stood up, closing the distance to the couch in 2 steps, then sitting down
next to Ranma and gently took her face in his hands, his lips moved to
her,
his arms sliding down to hold her against his strong body as their lips
met
in a warm, lingering kiss.
Ranma froze for a moment, but only a moment, then responded tentitively to
the kiss, her lips sweet and warm, lingering against his, allowing herself
to forget about being a man for once.
Dark Schneider let her respond at her own pace, his hand stroked her back
as
he held her, his lips moved a bit as they kissed, tilting his head as the
heat rose.
Ranma smiled into the kiss, then nibbled softly on his lower lip for a
moment, her hands moving to encircle his neck softly, the loudness of her
heartbeat echoing in her ears.
Ok, here's where I have a problem. Passion spice is a drug, an extremely
powerful aphrodesiac, apparently. The effects of this drug are to compel
the imbibers to engage in mad passionate sex until the drug burns itself
out. This does NOT give Ranma instant knowledge on how to act sexy or
how to function sexually. In short, she'd be enthusiastic, but ignorant.
